"Dad, are you insane?!" My sister Camille cries as our father reverses out of our driveway.
I scoffed. "Of course he is, do you now realize this?"
Dad glares at me through the rearview mirror whilst my mom is laughing at my comment.
"Hunny, grandma and grandpa are dying to see us. You're cousins as well. Let's just pray that everything goes well on the road." Dad says.
Mom frowns. "Oh but hunny are you sure this is okay? I mean, the news mentioned the snow not clearing off the highways until Friday. Why not just celebrate Christmas here and make sure to visit your parents on that Friday?"
Dad groans. "No." he says. "Christmas eve is on Wednesday, love. I want to get us all there by than so we can do our yearly tradition of opening one gift."
Camille squeals and claps her hands. "Dad I'm hoping you got me my new iPhone."
Dad chuckled. "I don't know if I did. You'll just have to find out when the time comes."
Camille groans and leans her head back.
It was Sunday morning in our city of Ohio and dad thought we should all just get a head start to grandma and grandpa's house up in Utah.
