Chapter 28 – Lifetime
Years passed and the city have flourished and continued to improve in more ways than one. Calum and Luke's relationship have been going well even with the occasional bumps, because even with their differences, nothing can compare to how they truly belong to and with each other.
"LUUUUUUUKE!!!" Calum called out from their bedroom.
"Yes?!" Luke yelled back from downstairs. He walked towards the stairs so that he can hear and understand better.
"Our hygiene kit is not here! Can you please search through the boxes down there so I can put them inside the bathroom? I think I put it inside the box with the towels."
"I get it, babe." Luke walked over to the stacks of boxes and began to open each of them to look for their hygiene kit.
It's been a month since Luke saw this small house in the outskirts of the city and at first sight he fell in love with it and since then, he decided to ask Calum to move in with him which Calum agreed to. They processed the papers together, and they both decided to pinch in to pay for the loan every month which made it easier for them to pay for everything in full. A week later after the papers have been approved, they told their friends about the news which they took in a very positive way and Ashton and Michael helped them with their stuff which led them now into this situation.
"Aha, found ya!" Luke grinned and carried the box of towels and hygiene kit up to their bedroom where Calum is.
"Cal- Calum?" Luke walked into their bedroom and put down the box to look for Calum.
"Fuck!" came a muffled voice from the bathroom followed by a small thump and running water, so Luke hurriedly walked to bathroom only to see the showerhead on the floor with the water running and a shock-looking wet Calum on the other side of the wall.
Luke marvelled in the cute sight of Calum before he started to laugh.
Calum pouted.
"What happened to you?" Luke asked in between his laughs as he pulled out a towel from the cabinet above the lavatory and walked closer to Calum.
"The shower wasn't working at first and I just twisted that something right there and water came onto my face." Calum pouted adorably.
Luke laughed again. "My god, you look like an adorable wet puppy right now." He finished and put the towel on Calum's head and started to pat his face and dry his hair with it. While Luke was doing this, Calum took the opportunity to admire his boyfriend's face in which Luke noticed and moved his eyes to meet Calum's and the two continued to stare at each other.
"What?" Luke asked, grinning down at Calum.
Calum said nothing but continued to stare at Luke.
"Why are you staring at me?" Luke asked again, still grinning.
Calum just blinked.
"Hey..." Luke whispered and Calum just blinked back at him.
Luke smirked and pulled down the towel from Calum's head so it covered his face.
"What the fuck!" Calum's muffled voice came from behind the towel.
Luke chuckled and turned around to walk back to their shared bedroom.
"Why you!" That was all he heard from Calum until he felt a sudden weight from his back and arms around his neck and shoulders that caused him to stop moving and his hands instantly grabbed hold of Calum's thighs.
"Hey, what are you doing? You could've hurt yourself, you know. What if I lost my balance?" Luke stated.
"I'm okay. And I know you wouldn't allow that." Calum replied and tightened his hold around Luke.
