"Huh? What are you talking about, Zach?" Kellin asked with narrowed eyes.

"What? You guys know each other?" Calum asked.

"He was one of my friends. Until they decided to turn their backs on me." Kellin answered.

Zach scoffed. "You got the roles reversed, Kellin. You turned your back on us and the humans."

Calum was confused. What are they talking about? Who're the real enemies here? The vampires or Kellin? His train of thoughts was interrupted when Luke softly coughed.

"Luke? Are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine...Cal... I-I'm not a fake, I swear. Please believe me." Luke begged.

"It's true, Calum." Zach butted in.

Kellin narrowed his eyes. "Okay, what am I missing here? I'm pretty sure that I made clone out of Luke so that no one would suspect anything."

"You think I didn't know that, Kellin?" Zach smirked.

"What really happened, Zach? Please just tell me, I'm tired of being left in the dark." Calum desperately begged for answers.

Luke put his hand on Calum's cheek that made Calum to look at him straight in the eyes.

LUKE'S POV

I was greeted by a tall guy carrying...wait, is that me? My eyes widened as I observed him. He must have noticed my reaction and stepped closer to me.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Luke."

"W-Who are you? And w-why is my body-"

"This is your clone."

"What?"

"I'm Zack, by the way. Do you remember anything, Luke?"

"I don't...wait, where's Calum?"

He sighed in relief.

"So, it worked."

"What? What worked?" I asked.

"The mind connection shit that I put on you." He answered.

"What do you mean?" I asked with narrowed eyes.

"Luke, this is your clone. And you've been asleep here for months now and everything that happened was only a dream but it was the memory of your clone. Therefore, your clone's memories are also yours."

"Why? Why do I have a clone?"

"Because you're the host of the Eden. The key to end the world."

"If you don't want the world to end and save your friends, then I want you to do one thing..."

That was one of the reasons why he turned me into a vampire because it was the only way to remove the remnants of the Eden inside of me. I'm so sorry, Cal.
