I'm back with my newest story!!! I'm so excited for you all to read it. The first chapter is pretty boring, but that's because this is most-likely introducing the protagonist. Please tell me afterwards what you've thought of it by commenting and voting. Enough with the talking. Enjoy!

I never had experiences anything weird. I was just a student who went to school and who had a part-time job in a supermarket. Nothing strange and nothing excited. I had a poor health ever since I was little, but that never stopped me from basketball. It was something I did with heart and soul. I never did anything else. My father has never been really supportive, but my mother and my younger sister were my biggest fan. My mother was, until a long time ago.

My mom died from breast cancer when I was 9 years old. My sister Jodie and I had always been close. She hasn't change much after my mom died. She was only 4 back then. She is 13 years now and I just see something going wrong with her. She isn't talking as much as she used to and is becoming shy, which she never was. She used to be the social girl that everyone loves, but somehow that happiness has faded away. I'm always worried about her. I'm acting like her father because my good-for-nothing father ignores her. Every time she tells something about school, he just walks away and pretends that she doesn't exist.

Ever since mom died, my father drinks every night and gets a little bit aggressive. He never abused me for real, but he had punched me a few times. I hate him but at the same time, I don't blame him. He lost the woman he loved the most in this world. I think I would do the same if I were him.

Just I said, my life is pretty normal. At least, that's what I thought. Apparently, my life wasn't that normal.

Chapter 1
Dan's P.O.V.

'Dan, wake up,' a girl's voice said. 'You'll be late for school.' I open my eyes and see the deep, blue eyes of my little sister. I placed my hand on her head and rubbed over her black hair, making a mess of it. 'Good morning Jodie. I'll be down in a few minutes.' She gave me a peck on the cheek and walked out of my room.

I sat up straight as I rubbed my eyes. It felt like there was sand in my eyes. I quickly changed into a black and white striped shirt with a denim jacket over it and a dark skinny jean. I looked at my brown hair and combed it to the right. I grabbed my schoolbag and my bag with my basketball clothes.

I walked out of my room and passed my father's room. I opened the door and I met the scent of whiskey and vodka. He snored loudly and it made me pissed off. The jerk had been drinking until late again. I closed the door and prayed that I didn't woke him up.

I ran downstairs and saw that Jodie had made me breakfast. She was making my lunchbox for school. I kissed her on the back of her hair. 'Thanks little sis. You're my hero.' 'It's not that special.' She said shyly. 'It is. Don't be shy about it. You got talent!' Jodie is really skilled in cooking, but she never told people, because she was scared that she would bragged about it.

'It was delicious!' I said after I finished my omelet. I looked at my watch. 'Got to go. See you at six.' I gave my sister a kiss on the top of her head. 'Do your best at school.' I yelled before I walked out of the house towards school.

I walked into the school. I saw that the hallways were busy and normal, as usual. I walked to my locker and put my books in it.

'Good morning Dan.' I turned around and saw my best friend Owen. He was rubbing in his eyes as he yawned. I waved my hand in front of my nose. 'Dude, ever heard of peppermint?' I asked disgust by the smell that came out of his mouth. 'I got a bit late out of bed. I saved a few minutes by not brushing my teeth.' He explained. 'Wow, you saved two whole minutes and you made me almost die.' I joked sarcastically.

'Anyways, what class do we have after history?' Owen asked. 'I think we have P.E.' Owen face brighten up. 'Ow yeah, I can see Julie in her shorts again. Don't forget about Kaya's top or Stacey's revealing shirt. 'I shook my head.

'Can you stop thinking about the girls half naked when you're in school?' I asked. 'Yeah, never going to happen. Got to run. I'm going to miss chemistry if I don't hurry.' Owen said and he ran through the corridor.

I sighed. 'Why can't I have normal friends?' I mumbled to myself as I slammed my locker shut and slowly made my way to physics.

It was lunch break and I was sitting with Owen, Parker, Billy and Mason. Parker was talking about the baseball tournament. I didn't really care, so I was just looking around. Suddenly, my gaze met the eyes of Julie Haller.

She's been in my class from the beginning. It's always been weird that we had the exact same classes. It was a bit confusing, because I have never spoken to her, yet she was always near me. We continued to look at each other for a minute.

Julie was the first one to break the staring contest by leaving her friends and walking out of the cafeteria. I followed her until she was out of sight. 'Dude!' I felt how Mason had planted his elbow in my rib cage.

'Were you just staring at Julie?' Mason asked laughing.

'You lucky boy!' Parker shouted.

'You were looking at her like a pervert.' Billy joked.

'And you are telling to stop thinking about girls naked?' Owen said laughing.

'Again, why can't I have normal friends?' I said inaudible for my friends.

The bell rang. 'Dan, history class, you come with me!' Owen yelled as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and dragged me to the classroom.

I was staring out of the window as my history teacher was talking about the renaissance. I started to think about the eye contact I made with Julie. She had a weird look in her eyes. She always looked emotionless out of her eyes, but she had a concerned and worried look in her eyes back then.

I was brought back to reality by the bell ringing. 'And I want you all to write an essay about Leonardo Da Vinci and a review about one of his famous masterpieces. I want it by next Tuesday.' My teacher said and we all left the room 'P.E. class. Finally. My favorite moment!' Owen said happily as he skipped towards Parker's locker which was close to the gymnasium. I shook my head and followed Owen.

I had to drag Owen with me because he was far gone. I saw that Parker, Mason and Billy were already waiting for us. 'What was taking so long?' Billy asked. 'We just lost Owen.' I said in a monotone voice. They looked confused at Owen who was still fantasizing. 'Is he thinking about the girls naked again?' They asked simultaneously. 'Eeyup.' I said, popping the P.

'Sweet Jesus.' Mason said, amazed by Owen's fantasy, while Parker face palmed himself. Billy simply let his head hang and sighed. 'Let's just go before Wellens make us do 100 push-ups again.' I said. Billy groaned. 'That was a pain in the ass.'

'She really hates us, doesn't she?' Mason said, sighing. 'Well, I don't blame her. You all bombard her with dodge balls out of nowhere.' I said. 'It was funny!' Parker exclaimed. 'You're going to hell.' I said as I walked into the locker room.
