Nanami’s P.O.V

‘There is the cottage!’ Kaya whispered as she pointed at a large, wooden cottage in the middle of the woods. We sneaked our way through the trees, trying not to get any attention.

Kaya hid behind a tree and grabbed her binocular. ‘There are around 5 guys in there.’ She told us. ‘This should be easy. We just need to get in and get them.’ Julie said. ‘I ask you to awaken, Gun of Five Cylinders, Cylindro!’ I summoned my five chamber revolver and checked its ammo. I closed the cylinder and put it back into my holster.

‘Dan, Kaya. I am going to need your back-up. Julie, I want you to enter as last into the cottage and stay near the door.’ I told the kids. I heard Julie making a ‘tch’ sound. I rolled my eyes and ignored her arrogant attitude.

‘Just follow my lead, kiddo’s.’ I said and I made my way towards the door of the cottage. I knocked on the door and waited for the door to be opened.

The door was opened by a man with long, dirty hair. He looked shocked at me as I stormed into the room and held up my gun. The other four men, who were sitting at a table, jumped off their chairs and raised their guns. I threw my hands in the air.

‘Hold on, there is no need to fight.’ I said, trying to sound innocent as I sat down on the chairs. ‘You are the one who storms into the cottage as a maniac with guns!’ A tall, bearded guy said. 'He has point, you idiot.' I heard Julie mumble. She was close to get hit in her stupid face.

Kaya, Dan and Julie took place behind me. I put my gun back into my holster. ‘Which one of you is the leader?’ I asked. A small, bald guy stepped forward. ‘I am! What do you want?’ He said with a way too low pitched voice for his appearance.

‘Let’s play a game! If you win, then I’ll tell you what we want.’ I said amused by the idea I had. The guy stared confused at me. A grin appeared on my face as I grabbed my revolver and took out all of the bullets except for one. I spun the cylinder and closed it without seeing where the bullet was.

‘Nanami, are you insane?’ Kaya exclaimed. I ignored her. I looked up at the guy across of me. The four other men were standing behind him with shocked looks on their faces. ‘Let’s play Russian Roulette.’ I said with a smirk of entertainment on my face.

I placed the barrel on the right side of my head. I kept my gaze on the guy across of me. I placed my finger on the trigger and pulled it. *Click*. My smirk grew wider and I moved the gun to the other side of the table.

The guy kept looking at it, making me impatient and annoyed. ‘Are you scared?’ I asked challenging. He looked up at me and took a deep breath. He grabbed the gun and placed the barrel at the side of his head. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger. *Click* ‘Your turn.’ He said as he moved the gun back to me.

I grabbed the gun with my right hand and waited for a bit. My smirk grew into a grin. The guy started to look weird at me. I brought the gun to my left hand and placed it on the left side of my head. I kept looking at the guy. I moved my right hand, which was now under the table, to my holster. I grabbed the grip of my holy iron gun and made myself ready.

In an instant, I removed the barrel from my head and aimed the guy’s head. Before he realize, I had pulled the trigger and he felt to the ground, falling down in a puddle of his own blood. The four other men grabbed their guns, but Kaya and Dan had already shot two of them. Julie killed the another one by firing an arrow in his neck.

Dan’s P.O.V

The last guy looked at his friend that was just shot in the head by Nanami. He looked at her with fright in his eyes. He started to run for the door, but Nanami shot him in the knee cap. I looked at her. She had a big grin on her face and she had eyes like a maniac.

‘Don’t run. It just started to get fun.’ She said sarcastically as she placed a foot on the back of the guy. ‘Where is your boss?’ She asked angrily, almost sounding like a wild animal. The man did nothing but shivering. ‘Then we have to do this the hard way.’ She said sighing and she grabbed her  knuckle knife. She raised the knife. She was about to stab the guy, but he started to beg for mercy, almost crying.

‘I’ll tell you! I’ll tell you! Just have mercy with me. I have a wife-’ Nanami stopped the guy by kicking him in the ribs. ‘I know that trick. Just tell where we can find your boss?’ she said annoyed.

‘They’re hiding in the Golden Cave.’ The guy said anxious. ‘The Golden Cave? No one comes there. Why would they hide in a cave, that is about to collapse?’ I wondered. ‘That’s the brilliant part. No one would look there. It’s the perfect hide out.’ Kaya mentioned.

Julie was staring off in space. I placed my hand on her shoulder. ‘Huh, what?’ she said, turning back to reality. ‘Is something wrong? You were staring off in space.’ ‘No, nothing’s wrong.’ She said.

‘Thanks for the help buddy!’ Nanami said and she raised her knife once again. Kaya tried to stop her. ‘Nanami don’t-’ It was too late. Nanami had already stabbed the guy in the back. His eyes turned lifeless and his body stopped moving.

Julie sighed and walked towards the door. She stopped next to Nanami and said, ‘That wasn’t necessary.’ And she walked out of the cottage.

‘Why did you kill him? He could’ve told us about the scientists!’ Kaya yelled angry at Nanami. ‘Don’t worry kiddo. We know where they are hiding. We are going to attack the Dark Hounds, find the leader and save those scientists.’ Nanami said with no worry in her voice.

‘We don’t even know for sure that those scientists were kidnapped. And even if we knew that they were kidnapped, we wouldn’t even know for sure that they are in the Golden Cave.’ I added. ‘Let’s just go back. We have to report about the mission.’ Nanami said.

We went back to the base. On the way back, I did a lot of thinking. Even though it was a successful mission, I still have my thoughts about Nanami’s "way" of taking care of those Dark Hounds members. She looked like a psychopath when she put the barrel against her own head. It was terrifying, even for me.

Maybe that was for what Julie was warning me.
