Julie’s P.O.V

I was exhausted. I was fighting Darren for over an hour and I had barely hit him. Darren on the other hand had hit me every single time.

He punched me in my face and I was set flying to the ground. He sat on top of me and he grabbed my neck, strangling me. I started to choak and fell how the air was cut off.

I kicked him off me, sat on top of him and started to punch him with all my might.  Darren grabbed my hands and threw me away. I quickly stood up as he started to walk towards me.

‘You are as stupid as ever!’ Darren said as he kicked me in my stomach, making me fall on my back, again. Because of the kick, a wound was opened on my stomach. Blood dripped down my torso. I leaned on my elbows and started to flinch backwards. Every movement was painful because of all the new bruises I had on my body.

Darren grabbed my yellow lizard sword, that was lying near him. He raised the sword as he had a grin on his face. ‘Game over.’ He said evily as he looked me straight into my eyes. I closed my eyes and waited for death.

Death sure took its time. I opened my eyes to see that someone was protecting me from Darren. ‘You okay there?’ The voice asked worried. I gasped as a tear rolled down my cheeks when I realized who it was. ‘What took you so long, you idiot.’ I said. ‘Can’t you just say thank you?’ The voice said with a little chuckle. ‘Thank you,’ I said as I smiled. ‘Dan.’ ‘Get up. You need to help Nanami.’ Dan said.

Darren started to put more pressure on his sword. ‘This isn’t your fight, boy.’ Darren said. Dan looked straight into his eyes. ‘You made this my fight! You’ve hurt Julie and the rest of my friends! You’ll pay for this!’ He said calm, yet furious. I saw the fire burning in his yellow eyes.

I took one last look at my comrade before I turned around and started to free Nanami. ‘Nanami. Nanami!’ I called her, pulling at the ropes. I grabbed her knife out of her pocket and cut through the ropes. I caught her before she would drop on the ground. I lied her gently down.

A groan came out of her mouth and she struggled to open her eyes. ‘Nanami!’ I called her name again. She tried to sit straight up. I grabbed her shoulders and gently pushed her back. ‘You really need to stop moving.’ I told her. ‘Julie,’ she said. ‘Look into my eyes.’ I raised an eyebrow. ‘What do you mean?’ I said as I looked into her eyes.

Nanami placed her hands on my cheeks. ‘Animam refoue’ she said and her heart started to glow. I wanted to scream, but something weird started to happen. The goldish light that came out of her body, from her heart, went towards my heart. ‘What the-’ I was cut off as the light entered my heart through my body. I clenched my teeth to hold back the screaming. ‘What’sthis?’ I brought out, scared and furious.

The glow had fully entered my body. I felt better and stronger. What did just happened?

Nanami was panting extremely. She grabbed my hand and looked at me. ‘Don’t worry. I revived you.’ she said with a faint smile on her face. She revived me? That’s impossible.

‘I know what you’re thinking. It’s impossible.’ She said. ‘That’s what I thought too, but someone important told me how to do it.’ ‘Someone… important?’ I questioned her. ‘Tyago. I have to say ‘hi’ to you from him.’ Nanami said with a small smile on her face. My eyes widened. ‘Tyago?’ I said, stuttering. ‘H-how?’

Nanami groaned again. She was almost out of power. ‘Why do you revive me? You hate me for what I did to Tyago!’ I asked her confused.

I was standing in Joe’s office with himself and the 16-year-old Nanami. Nanami, she was devistated. The news of her little brother’s death came in like a bomb. She kept staring at me, giving me hateful looks.

‘Nanami, she couldn’t do anything about it. She is just a little kid. Tyago acted on his own.’ Joe said, defending me. ‘To hell she couldn’t do anything! She could’ve talk him out of it!’ Nanami said furious, talking like I wasn’t there.

She never liked me. From the first moment we met each other, we couldn’t be in the same room. You could feel the tenstion in the air. Tyago on the other hand, was my best friend. We spent every moment together. We were inseparable. But everything was torn apart, because of me.

Nanami is right. I could’ve stopped him. I could’ve protect him, but I didn’t. It’s all my fault.

‘Nanami, I understand that you are angry, but-’ Joe was cut off. ‘Angry? Angry?’ Nanami growled furiously. ‘I’m fucking furious! I lost my only family. I’m all on my fucking own, because of that little bitch!’

‘It isn’t my fault!’ I screamed at Nanami, lying straight into her face. I was about to say more, but she glared at me, making me shut my mouth. Her blue eyes looked malicious and hungry for murder and her lips formed a thin line. I slowly backed away. ‘Get out of my face.’ She said in a calm tone, yet so much hatred. ‘I don’t want to see you.’

Those words broke me. Those words made me realize what kind of mess I had made. A mess that I couldn’t set right.

‘After a long time, I realized,’ Nanami said weakly. ‘That it was never your fault that Tyago died.’ My eyes widened. Tears appeared in my blue eyes. ‘He was just as stubborn as always.’ She said, before falling unconcious. ‘Fuck.’ I mumbled as I wiped away the tears.

I stood up and turned around, facing Darren and Dan, seeing them fight.

Dan was still standing, hands raised in front of his chest, standing in a fight position. He was panting heavily and had several scars and bruises. Darren was just standing there, grinning like a maniac. He had a deep cut on his left cheek, probably caused by Dan.

I jumped between them, protecting Dan from Darren with my arms spread open. ‘Dan, get Nanami and get out of here. I’ll take care of Darren.’ I told him, not taking my eyes off Darren. ‘Are you insane? I won’t leave you alone!’ Dan exclaimed. I sighed. ‘This is my fight. You don’t have to fight it for me.’

Dan was about to say something, but he shut his mouth, backing away from me and Darren, his gaze never leaving me.

Darren was out of breath from his fight with Dan and he had a few bruises, but leaving those, he was perfectly fine.

‘Requip!’ I exclaimed and a bright light appeared, letting not my usual armor appear, but something different.

Instead of only armor on my upperarm and my thighs, my entire limbs were covered in black armor. My hands were secured by black fighting gloves, only revealing my fingers. My torso was covered with a silver knight armor with a golden cross on it. My powers increased? That isn’t supposed to happen until I’m 20 years old!

I grinned as I looked at the armor that was on my body. ‘I never knew that I would use this one.’ I mumbled to myself as I grabbed the blue bracelet from my lower arm. I raised it in the air and chanted, ‘I ask you to awaken, Sword of Diamond, Adamas!’ A simple, diamond sword with a iron grip appeared in my hands.

I held Adamas in front of me, ready to attack, defend and counter-attack. I grinned again. ‘Come on, attack me with all you got.’ As I said those words, a dark-blue aura started to come from my sword and my body. ‘I’m going to give you payback for what you did to me!’
