Hi everyone! Here is a new chapter. I'm sorry for the long wait on this chapter. I had no time to upload. I'll be going to a campsite with friends without WiFi, so no uploads for four days. I'ms sorry. So, Carver and Darren are the same person. You have to remember that in this story. Anyways. Vote and comment if you like and follow me for more stories and uploads. Sharing is appreciated.

Stay awesome and I love you!

Julie’s P.O.V

We snuck through the corridors, hoping we wouldn’t be caught here. We were among the enemy, right in the middle of their hideout. If we were caught now, we would have some serious trouble.

As we crept further into the eye, I started to feel uncomfortable. Why was it so easy for us to go through these corridors? We haven’t seen one living soul since we started our search for the scientists.

‘Why is it so easy for us to just go through these corridors? Shouldn’t we have been caught by now?’ I asked, not really caring for Nanami’s answer. ‘Shut your face! If you keep talking, they will catch us.’ Nanami said, louder than me. ‘Tch, you already fucked it up now.’ I said, rolling my eyes.

We continued to sneak around in silence. ‘Ssh!’ Nanami said. ‘Don’t ‘ssh’ me! I’m already quiet!’ I hissed at Nanami. ‘Ssh!’ She said again.

Why is she always a pain in the ass?’ I thought as I groaned out loud. ‘Don’t move and be quiet! I hear voices.’ She hissed at me. ‘There are people near us.’ I opened my mouth to say something, but I shut it again, because she finally said something useful.

‘Darren won’t be beaten. I know it.’ A man voice said. ‘He is the strongest of us all. There is no way that that Julie and her little boyfriend have beaten him.’ My eye twitched. ‘Boyfriend?’ I said angrily. ‘Yeah, your boyfriend. Remember?’ Nanami said teasing, not taking a look at me. ‘Dan is not my boyfriend!’ I hissed at Nanami. ‘I never said that it was Dan.’ She said, giving me a sly glance. I groaned frustrated.

‘Of course he won’t be beaten. It’s just a set-up.’ A voice, which sounded like an older man, said. ‘A set-up? What the hell do they mean?’ Nanami said confused. I didn’t even listen to Nanami anymore. I started to remember those horrible years.

‘We shouldn’t do this, Carver! If we get caught, we are dead!’ 7-year-old me said. 15-year-old Carver turned around and walked towards me. I walked backwards and slammed my back against the wall. He placed his thumb on my chin. ‘Are you that scared? This is going to be fun.’ I gasped. ‘Setting a building on fire isn’t supposed to be fun. It’s wrong.’

He let go of me and walked away towards the stairs. ‘Come with me or you’ll be alone again.’ Carver said coldly. I ran towards him and grabbed his sleeve. ‘Don’t leave me! I don’t want to be alone again.‘  I said with tears in my eyes. ‘Good girl.’ He said as he petted my head and we walked up the stairs.

Carver had a malicious grin on his face. I didn’t understand why he was grinning. ‘Can you hold onto this?’ He said as he gave me a matchbox. ‘Sure.’ I said as I took the matchbox and put it into my pocket.

We walked up to the second floor of the five-story building. Carver walked to the middle of the room and started to set up a weird package with a thing that looked like a timer. ‘What are you doing?’ Carver looked at me. ‘I’m setting up a time bomb. What does it look like I’m doing?’

He looked back at the time bomb and set the timer on 10 minutes. ‘If I were you, I would run.’ Carver said with the exact same malicious grin on his face. I didn;t hesitate for a moment. I turned around and ran downstairs.

‘Julie Haller?’ I stopped running and looked up. There were three tall guys in front of me. Each one of those men had a holster around their waist, filled with guns, bullets and knives. ‘We have orders to bring you with us. I hope that we can do this the easy way.’ The one in the front said. I turned around and ran towards the exit.

I got pushed to the ground on stomach by one of the three guys. ‘Then the hard way.’ He said and I feel his hands all over my body. I started to cry out. ‘Help me! Carver, somebody, help me!’

I saw Carver creeping down the stairs slowly. ‘Help me!’ I screamed again. Carver looked into my eyes and then ran quietly towards one of the broken windows in the back of the room and jumped out of it. I started to cry even harder, because I knew that the time bomb would soon exploded.

Just as I thought of the bomb, it went off. A loud explosion came from the second floor and the building started to collapse. Concrete started to fall from the ceiling.

‘We have to get out of here. Grab the kid and let’s go.’ One of the men said to the guy that was harrassing me. I caught him off guard and took my chance. I turned myself around, grabbed the gun out of the man’s holster and aimed. I managed to shot him in the stomach and he dropped of me.

The two other men were frozing on there place, rethinking what just happened. I aimed for the guy that was farthest away from me. I tried to get some air in my lungs, but it was too hard because of the smoke that was in the air.

The last guy looked shocked at me and started to load his gun. I grabbed the knife out of the holster from the guy that I shot first and ran as fast as I could towards the man. I jumped and stabbed him right in his heart. I fell to the ground in a puddle of blood. I didn’t hesitate and ran out of the building.

I collapsed to the ground and breathe in the fresh air. In the distance, I heard police sirenes coming closer. I didn’t even bother to run away. I just waited for what would happen.

‘There’s the girl!’ A police officer said and he ran towards me. He spun me onto my stomach and handcuffed my hands on my back.

‘It wasn’t me. It was Carver! Please, believe me!’ I cried, lying on the cold wooden floor. ‘Then what is this?’ A police officer said coldly as he threw the matchbox at me. ‘Carver asked me to hold onto it. Please, believe me! Somebody. Save me!’ I screamed at the top off my lungs as I started to cry even harder.

A year later…

I heard the sound of keys slamming against something. I lifted my head over the cold, concrete floor and looked through my greasy hair to see a jailor and a man, who didn’t looked younger then 19. I managed to get myself up against the wall. The chain, that attached my handcuffs to the wall, slammed against the wall, making a lot of noise.

The jailor started to unlock the door. ‘Watch out. She may be a little girl, but she can bite.’ The jailor said as he opened the door to let the man in. ‘I think I’ll be fine.’ He said as he started to walk towards me.

I gritted my teeth. If my hands weren’t handcuffed behind my back, I would’ve already ripped his head off his neck. ‘Hi, my name is Joe. You are Julie, right?’ he said as he held out his hand.

I raised an eyebrow. You’re kidding me?’ I said as I moved my hands, making the chain slam against the wall again. He rubbed the back of his head and smiled like a idiot. ‘I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking.’

‘I’m here to get you out of this Hell.’ He whispered. I was about to ask him how he was going to do that, but he had ended to conversation already by walking towards the jailor. He placed a small thing in the jailor’s neck. ‘What the-’ He was cut off by his own screaming. There was blue light everywhere.

‘What did you do to him?’ I asked in a monotone voice, actually not caring what he did to the jailor, because he absolutely deserved it. ‘I taised him. I won’t be able to get you out of here if they all know.’ He said with a goofy smile on his face.

A voice brought me back to reality. ‘Julie, do you hear me?’ I heard through the ear piece. I placed my finger on it and answered to Ayden’s question. ‘I can hear you, Ayden.’ I whispered. ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘It’s Darren. He escaped.’ Ayden said worried. ‘What?!’ I said, not wanting to believe what he just said.

‘What’s wrong?’ Nanami said with widened eyes. ‘Darren has escaped. He ran back into the Golden Cave!’ I said, anxious to see him again.
