Chapter 3: Sacrifice

Hiya! I was bored again, so... yeah! Enough of the introduction! Onto the story!

(3:13 pm on Monday, September 11th, 2018)

Chloe's Perspective:

I was standing in front of my bookshelf.

I took a book out, and the place where the book had been began to glow.

I took a deep breath and exhaled.

I pushed the books left.

"Left..."

I pushed the books right.

"Right..."

I pushed the books apart.

"Open!"

And then I was flying through a swirly sea of clouds and colors.

I landed on my feet. I looked around at the bookshelves sculpted from magic trees.

I was in the Library of Legends.

"Chloe!!!" Emily screamed when she saw me.

Emily gave me a hug.

"Relax, Emily. We just saw eachother at school." I laughed.

"I know... but I'm just so excited to see the Glitter Force all together again!"

And sure enough, Kelsey, Lily, and April were in the Library of Legends, too.

"Emily..." I lowered my head.

"Oh right, don't use the phrase 'Glitter Force' anymore, duh!"

Emily cheerfully skipped inside the lone building in the library: the Glitter Force's hideout.

I looked up, only to see everyone looking at everyone else nervously.

April put her hand on my shoulder. "Chloe, what's really going on?"

"What do you mean?" I said a-matter-of-factly.

"Chloe," April said. "Everytime anyone references the Glitter Force, you seem to get upset."

I nodded.

"Why are you feeling that way? Is there something we can do to help?" April said, taking her hand off my shoulder.

"We all care about you, Chloe." Lily said.

"Yeah." Kelsey said. "All of us-except Emily, that is-can tell that you aren't acting like yourself."

"You guys..." I said.

Could I have any better friends?

I started to tear up.

"Oh no, here comes the water works..." Kelsey teased.

"Shut up, Kelsey..." I laughed.

April smiled. "So... what's going on?"

"You see-" I started.

"Girls, sorry I'm late!!!" Pop screamed, jumping out of a book that flew on from the sky.

"Pop!!!" We shouted.

"Yeah-" Pop started, but was cut off when Lily hugged him.

"Don't hug me, I am a fierce warrior of Jubiland!" Pop blushed as Lily let him go.

"Oh, sorry, Pop. You are totally fierce!"

"I am- I mean, yes, yes, I am!!!" Pop said, and I laughed.
