Chapter 4: For Queen Candy

(1:14 pm on Monday, September 11th, 2018)

Your Perspective:

Someone put their hand on your cheek.

Your eyes fluttered open.

Your father was lying on a pallet made of cards.

"Have a good rest, (Y/n)?"

"Yes..." You said, scooting away from your father a little.

Your father let his hand hover in the air.

He slowly took his hand back, and rolled over onto his stomach.

Your father then lifted his hand, and the cards carried him onto his feet.

You got up and streched. You adjusted your shirt, because it was out of place.

"So, (Y/n)." Your father said, not taking his eyes off you. "I got you a little birthday present: some new books."

That got your attention.

"Where, where?" You jumped up and down.

"I brought them into the library while you were sleeping."

You practically ran out the door and down the hallway.

You went down the stairs, into the basement library.

You saw the cart labeled, New Books, and got excited.

You rapidly examined cover after cover.

Your father followed you, equally speedy.

Your father began to organize the books into three categories with your help, pointing out which pile was which.

"There are the new history books, there are the new home skills books, and there are the new magic and battle tactics books."

You put the books where they belong.

Most of these books were written by your father or the emperor, though some where written by his other minions.

You picked up a book written by Brooha that was titled, Making Magical Objects, Vol. 2 and began to read.

Lily's Perspective:

"W-wadda mean, Pop?" I said. "Wh-what can we help you with?"

Pop lowered his head. "It would be best to just... show you."

April said, "Where are we going, Pop?"

"To Jubiland." Pop said gravely.

"Book portal!!!" Emily screamed. "Me first!!!"

We laughed.

Pop opened his book portal.

I smiled. "Go ahead, Emily."

"Yay!!!" Emily star-jumped into the book portal.

The rest of us jumped in, too.

We flew to Jubliand.

When we got there, we were shocked.

Everyone looked so... so sad.

"Follow me, Glitter Force." Pop said.

Chloe winced. I put my hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay, Chloe. Just, stay calm, okay?" I whispered.
