Sorry for the partial filler chapter last time! I hope that I'll get to my overly planned section in the chapter after this one...

To the story!!!

Chloe's Perspective:

I opened my eyes, shivering off the feeling of dread.

I sat up, removing the blanket.

My eyes met the Glitter Pact resting on the dresser.

Was that a dream...? Please tell me that was a dream...

My fingertips brushed the Glitter Pact's surface.

"...!"

The plastic was as cold as ice, and as hard as stone. I quickly removed my hand.

"Chloe, are you up yet?" My mom's voice came from downstairs.

"Y-yeah, mom!!! I'm gonna get dressed now!"

I stood up, and looking at the time, quickly rushed to get ready for school.

I was just about done, when my mom called, "Chloe, you don't wanna be late!"

"I'm almost done!"

I was about to grab my Glitter Pact, when a chill seeped into my hand.

Do I take it, or not? Jubilara told us to be on guard, but I know that thing with Rascal wasn't a dream...

"Now, that's a lovely Shadow Pact if I ever saw one! And disguised as a Glitter Pact, too!"

Should I? I don't want to seem suspicious to the others... I plan on telling them after school about what happened with Rascal, but...

If it really is a dark version of a Glitter Pact...?

"Chloe, c'mon! You really don't wanna be late, do you?!"

Thinking quickly, I grabbed my Glitter Pact, put it into my little white case, and slung my bag over my shoulder.

It's better to show them what's going on...

"Here's a granola bar!" My mom said, before shoving me out the door.

When I got to the entrance of the school, Kelsey saw me and smiled.

"Look who's late today!"

"It's late for her, on time for us..." Lily giggled.

"And you criticise me for being late, Chloe!" Emily lightheartedly shouted.

April put her arm on my shoulder, and laughed in my ear.

"Why are you so late, Chloe?!"

There were other students around. "I was just tired, that's all... heh heh."

April scowled. "Nightmares again..?"

I hadn't intended to lie.

"Uh, kind of..." I muttered.

Lily smiled, trying to brighten the mood. "Let's get to class, guys!"

We all walked into the classroom, and took our seats.

After homeroom, the bell rang to show that the teacher for our first class was coming.

I was taking my stuff out of school bag, when I felt a chill on my arm.

The cold's penetrating the case?!

Two students near me were bickering.

"Give me back my phone! I only said that you could get my number!"
