"Is that your boyfriend?" Tom whispered, a tight-lipped smile on his face. I sighed and pulled away from him completely. Nodding my head, I avoided eye-contact. Tom pursed his lips and nodded, standing up from my bed, "I should go. I'm late to work." I looked at him confused.

"I thought you called off today?" Tom chuckled, shaking his head while his gaze drifted to the floor. He checked his phone and as if on cue it began to ring.

"Yeah – I uh, I didn't actually. I just told them I'd be late. I was going to call off, you know, if this had gone a little different." I felt the frown tugging on my lips as I watched him answer his phone, telling Reggie, his manager, that he'd be there in fifteen minutes.

"Tom," he held his hand out toward me, waving me off.

"Don't keep Tony waiting," he smiled at me again as he backed out closer toward my doorway. "He really likes you." And before I could say anything, he had walked out. I stood up quickly, throwing my phone on top of my bed.

"Tom!" Tom didn't stop walking though, and I couldn't stop him from reaching the door and greeting Tony. "Tony," I smiled – or at least, I tried to.

"Hey babe, did I catch you at a wrong time? Hey Tom!" Tom smiled and nodded at him.

"Hey Tony," he looked back at me and waved, turning back toward Tony to walk past him. "I'm actually late for work, so I gotta get down there." Tony nodded, waving him off. Before Tom stepped into the elevator, Tony called out to him.

"Maybe we'll see you later! We'll come get a drink," he turned to me and smiled, "we're probably gonna have something to celebrate later." I smiled weakly when he winked at me, sneaking a glance at Tom. He had an unreadable expression, smiling and nodding when Tony turned to look at him.

"Sounds good, man," Tom stepped into the elevator while saying, "see you later."

"Celebrate?" I asked, inviting Tony in. "What are we celebrating?" I tried to focus my attention on Tony. This is who I was with – not Tom. Tom and I didn't get along – we fought all the time, we didn't have anything in common and he shares different views than me. He has commitment issues and he doesn't know how to love. Then why do you always think about him? I noticed Tony staring at me. Did he ask me something? Why don't you ask him? "I'm sorry," I coughed, "did you say something?" Tony smiled, shaking his head.

"I said, I got a promotion at work. And, I know we've only been seeing each other for a couple of months but, if you want to, I was going to ask if you wanted to, you know, move in with me?" I froze in place. Tony's cheeks turned a scarlet red, his gaze falling to his fingers that were drumming against his thigh. I walked over to the living room, taking a seat on the couch and felt a dip when Tony sat down next to me, a respectable space between us.

"Move in with you?" I couldn't wrap my head around it. I wasn't considering this – why would I? Did I even like Tony all that much?

"Yeah, I just thought – I don't know. It's weird sharing a loft with three guys. Isn't it?" No, I thought, it isn't. "It's up to you. I just really like you, (Y/N)." My heart clenched, it hurt but not in the way it usually did – it hurt for Tony.

I could grow to love Tony, couldn't I? Tom and I can't happen. We live together, we're nothing alike, we have nothing in common. You said that already. I mentally sighed. I had been having this argument with myself since I started to see Tom differently. I could love Tony. I could. "Tony," he looked at me. I glanced around the apartment. It was a little crowded. "I want to do it." I said, I didn't think about it. I was speaking on impulse and on my fear of what might happen if I lived with Tom any longer. "I want to move in with you."
