Color: Purple - royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. The color purple has a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting spirits, calming the mind and nerves, enhancing the sacred.
Note: I forgot to mention this but every other chapter the POV will change from Tom's to the reader, so you get both character's insight :)

I huffed out a breath, trying to catch it while I rested on an empty bench. "This is the last time I go to the gym with you, Holland." I smiled at his laugh, watching him wipe his forehead and take a swig of his water. I pulled out my water bottle, downing half of it and moving to fix my ponytail.
"You're a baby." He sat down next to me, I punched my nose playfully, swatting away his scent. "You don't smell like daisies in the summer either, sweetheart." I feigned offense, scoffing. "You're welcome, by the way."
"For?"
"Uh? Bringing you to the gym. I'm just trying to help you take advantage of your free facilities." I rolled my eyes, picking up my bag and shoving my water bottle into the opening.
"Thank you, Thomas. You're a life-saver."
"Thomas?" Tom and I turned around, watching as two boys walked in. "You don't let me – hell, anyone, call you Thomas." I looked back at Tom, seeing his face redden. I mean, it was probably from working out. He was red before, right? "What might your name be?" Tom was up in an instant, standing next to me as he pushed his hair back, the sweat on his forehead helping him keep it down.
"This is my Creative Writing partner. I've mentioned her a couple of times." They looked at me, nodding, a knowing smile on their face.
"Uh, yeah. Hi, I'm (Y/N)." I held out my hand, shaking the two nameless boys' hands.
"Harrison, this is Jacob." Harrison pointed to himself, then to the boy on his left. I nodded, pursing my lips.
"I should go. I've got work in a couple of hours. I wanna get a shower in." I smiled slightly, hiking my bag up and turning toward Tom. "I'll see you later?" He nodded at me, leaning in to give me a one-armed hug. Despite his foul odor, I still liked the way his arm felt around me. "'til then, Thomas."
"'til then, love." The two boys 'subtly' snickered, waving me off as I walked out. I wasn't all the way gone when I heard:
"'Thomas'? You must like this girl." "Shut up, Haz."

"My, oh my. You're the cutest delivery girl I've ever had, I reckon." I rolled my eyes, shoving past Tom with our box of pizza and heading toward the couch in his living room. "Uh, my roommate's here tonight – his plans got canceled. Can we have movie night in my room instead?" He seemed nervous inviting me to his room – most likely because most girls that made it in there were one of his conquests. I shrugged, heading for his room instead of the couch.
"Grab some plates, and drinks!" I laid back on his bed, my back resting against the headboard. I waited a few minutes in silence, trying to distract myself with my phone. A notification banner popped up – an email from my math professor. It was most likely the grade for for our midterm. I sighed – Math definitely wasn't my best subject.
"What's with the long face?" I locked my phone, tossing it farther down the bed. I shook my head, ignoring his questioning glance as he laid down next to me, handing me my sprite. "We're keeping secrets now?" I rolled my eyes, picking up my phone and unlocking it, showing him the email. He shrugged. "It's just a grade... want me to check it for you?" I nodded, biting my lip. He set his drink down and took my phone. "Do you want to know?" I sighed, rubbing my palms against my sweats.
"I, uh – I don't know."
"Hey," he put one of his hands over mine, causing me to look up at him. "It's one grade. Even if it's bad, which is impossible, you still have more than have the quarter to fix it. I'll help, as much as I can." I nodded at him, shaking slightly as he went back to open the email. I leaned into him, resting my forehead on his purple t-shirt, feeling his arm wrap around my shoulders. It was comforting.
"Hey, you got a seventy-seven!" I lifted my head quickly, taking my phone out of his hand and reading the large 77/100 on the top. I smiled widely, jumping softly and doing a small victory dance.
"I didn't fail!" I dropped my phone, pulling Tom into a hug and kissing his cheek. "Thank you, Thomas. You're the best." He pretended to dust his shoulder and shrugged.
"Alright, what's first? When Harry Met Sally or Tangled?"
