Marcus and I stand on the roof of a building belonging to the CIA. We look through a skylight, and see many scientists studying things. At on table, a few study a flexing bionic arm. Another is studying a squirrel in a cage running unusually fast.

A squirrel? I think. Really?

Marcus scowls.

"What are they doing?"

"I don't know," I reply, studying the area. There are about twenty scientists.

"How do you want to do this?" I ask. He shrugs in suggestion.

"Maybe we could start a fire. That will get all of them out of the lab, fast." I nod.

"Great idea. Do it." His eyes begin to glow, then shoots a fiery red beam, igniting a bunch of papers on a desk. One scientist notices it, then starts yelling. Then another. Then, another until each and every scientist has cleared the room. When we're sure it's safe, we drop through the glass and land on the floor.

A small pain shoots through my legs, but it's nothing major. I shake it off and look for what dad needs. He wants another file, labeled The Six Million Dollar Girl: #2. He said that it should be in a display case at the very back of the room. The room is starting to grow heavy in smoke, but I see Marcus running through. I bet I have some time to look around.

It sounds crazy, though. It's getting header to breathe. The air is getting thicker, but then I see a chalkboard. I don't know what comes over me, but I have to look at it. I can barely make out anything it says, but I try. There's a line and a stick figure. It shows the figure jumping upwards. On another small sketch, is an eye ball with a vertical line in front of it. There are some arrows pointing trough the the line. Behind it, are other small stick figures.

"Gwen!" I hear Marcus call. I cough, trying to speak.

"W-wait!" I sputter. "Just a few more seconds!" I can't explain it, but I'm somehow drawn to it. There are flames everywhere, and I'm pretty sure that squirrel is roast meat.

"What?" He demands, through coughing. The heat is becoming unbearable, and if feels like it's literally melting my face off.

He tugs at my arm, but I am able to catch one more phrase off the chalkboard:

Project 3: The Six Million Dollar Boy

"Okay," I ask father. Considering what he's done to me so far, I'm a bit scared. But I have to know. I remember Chase's expression, the one that read

'I'm not buying this'. But, his eyes told a much more sympathetic story:

'If you need someone to talk to, I'm right here.'

I smile, thinking about what he'd probably say after that,

'I mean, I won't be in this spot forever, I mean, I go to different places...you know what I mean!'

But, back to father. I know that he's been acting a little crazy, but he's still a really great person. He's just become rather power hungry.

"What's up, Gwen?" He asks. "Sorry, just listening to my jazz/classical playlist." I sit at the end of the couch and take a deep breath.

"Father, who is the 'Six Million Dollar Girl?" He laughs.

"Who?" Great! He's playing dumb! Just great. I can't get him to try to remember, because I don't know who she is either.

"Alright then, are you familiar with the 'Six Million Dollar Boy?'" He sighs and rolls his eyes.

"Gwen, where have you been getting these CRAZY ideas from?" He uses the word crazy, as if telling me to drop the subject. But I can't!

"Are you sure?" I press.

"Sounds like a show from the 70's." I frown at him. Why does everything have to be so complicated? I look at him.

"Please father. Are you really sure you don't know?" He smiles warmly.

"Gwen, would I lie to you?" I want to say 'yes', but I know better.

"No, father. Of course not." I walk up to my room, knowing that my father has been telling me lies.
