Spencer's POV
"Are you ready to see Grandma and Grandad."
Adam started jumping up and down with excitement.
Here we are outside my old house after just being dropped off by a cab.
I grab Adams little hand and roll out suitcases into the house."MOM WE'RE HOME!!"
My mom came round the corner and smiled.
Adam let go of my hand and ran up to her."Grandma!!"
"Hello sweetie"As you can probably tell Adam wasn't planed. I was in my Sophomore year at college and it was one of the weekends Toby came down to see me.
I realised I was late and it turned out I was pregnant.Me and Toby tried to make it work but the long distance wasn't really working. He tried transferring but the universe got in the way.
Adam goes to stay with him every 2 weeks and it's still so hard to see him and say goodbye to my only child.
Toby still lives in Rosewood but me and Adam live in Washington. It's far away but I don't mind the drive it usually gives me a chance to clear my head after my busy week at work.
Adam loves going to his dad's which makes me happy to think he's enjoying himself, I just can't help but wish we were all together like one happy family but unfortunately that's just wishful thinking.
My mom gets out a box of toys and Adam sits down to play with them.
The kitchen counter is completely covered with campaign papers and merchandise. There are poster boards with her face on them and big bold letters spelling out:
Veronica Hastings for state senator.
"Wow Mom you've put a lot of effort into this"
She walks over picks up a badge and pins it to my coat."Your the reason I'm doing this you got involved with government first."
"Well I'm proud of you."
"Have you talked to the girls?"
"Yeah we are going to meet at the brew. Old habits I guess."
"Haha yeah I guess so." She hesitates."Are you going to visit Toby?"
I let out a big sigh.
"Yeah I thought about taking Adam but he's really tired and I don't want him to miss any sleep I was going to put him down for a nap and-"
My mom cuts me off.
"Just go by yourself sweetie it'll be easier for Adam if you two can be friends."I wave goodbye to my mom and drive over to where I was told Toby lives now.
There was a beaten up old tin can of camper van and a bunch of tools and planks of woods thrown around everywhere.
He's probably building something new.
A house wow and I thought my chair was impressive and he wants to take me out to dinner before I leave. What does that mean? Like a date or does he mean like a family dinner him, Adam and I?
I head to the brew to meet the girls.
I walk in and see Hanna sat at a table with her back turned. I walk over and cover her eyes."Guess who?"
"Nancy Drew" I playfully hit her on the head.
"Shut up."
She gets up and hugs me and then starts looking around for Adam.
"Sorry Han he's at home with my mom he's really tired after the long journey." She pouts with a dissapioted look on her face. The other girls arrive and we sit down to chat.
"So Han how's Jordan?" Emily questions.
"He's driving over from New York as we speak."
"What about you Spence?"
"Um not much me and Adam still live in the same place and I have the same job so nothings changed."
"What about your love life?"
"HANNA!!" Aria warns.
"No nothing new there."
"Apart from I just came from Toby's house."
"Wait tell me everything are you guys getting back together?"
Alison sits up straight and I hanging on my every word.
"No, but he said he wants to take me out to dinner before me and Adam leave but I don't know what that means"
"He wants you back."
"Aria I'm not sure that's what he meant." I reply.Hanna looks up at the door and then starts sliding down on the brews couch.
"oh God hide me."
"What why Han?" We all turned.
"NO DON'T LOOK!"There stood a guy with short cut brown hair, a red jumper and he also happened to be Hanna's ex.
Caleb Rivers.
