A/n the photo above is Spencer's college roomate Erica, she's quite important in this chapter.

Toby's POV

I helped Adam into his car seat at the end of our long day, I hadn't gotten much paper work done but all the force are working Charlotte's case. No one will really notice.

I had gotten a text from Ali this morning inviting me over for dinner I was planning on going but Yvonne has been texting me all day. I love her and I'm planning on proposing but this is just to much, I don't think Yvonne quite gets what my life is like. Adam is my son and I want him to be happy, I want Spencer to be happy to, I just want things to be alright.

Things wouldn't be so complicated if Spencer and Yvonne got along, Spencer tries her best but she's right when she says our son comes first.

We weren't together when Adam was born because we just argued all the time, it was mainly because Spencer was hormonal.

*flashback*

I was just leaving work when I got a text from Spencer.

Spencer: hey Tobes can you come down to my college this weekend my due date is this week remember. I was planning on going home but I have so much work to get done before I can graduate. I really don't want to be alone. Xx

Toby: sure I'll come down now, see you in about three hours. Xx

I didn't have a bag with me but Spencer had a bunch of clothes of mine in her dorm room.
She had been stealing them one by one since she started gaining weight and getting a baby bump.

I had just got onto the main road when Spencer started calling me, I pulled over just incase it was important.

"Hey Spence I'm on my way."
"Hi Toby it's Erica"

Erica was Spencer's roomate, she's really nice and had been sticking up for Spencer.

"Erica? Where's Spencer?"
"I think her waters just broke."
"ERICA AAAAAGGGGHHHH!  WHERE IS HE OWW."
" I'm on my way I'll be there as soon as I can."

I pulled out of the lay by and sped all the way to Spencer's dorm, I may have broken a few laws but I didn't care.

Once I had arrived I could see an ambulance outside, I double checked Spencer wasn't in it and hurried into her room.

Paramedics where already in her room.

"I can't move"
"Miss Hastings I'm afraid this baby is coming there is no time to get the hospital."
"No please I need pain relief"

Spencer was crouched down breathing into her bed, with Erica rubbing her back. Many college students where crowding round the room making it hard to get into the room.

"It's okay Spence I'm here" I say finally making it to her side.

" Are you the father?"
"Yes that's me, what's going on?"
"I'm sorry but this baby is coming now."
"Toby I can't do this without you."
"I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere I promise."

I helped the paramedics lift Spencer onto her bed and made it comfortable.

"I should probably go." Erica said getting her bag.

"Thank you to so much, I'm so glad you were here."

"Erica wait." Spencer panted.

"I want you to name the baby."

"What Spence you can't ask me to do that"

"No me and Toby have been arguing over names please."

"Okay name him Adam After my brother."

"Adam I like it." I say smiling at Spencer, who was already grinning from ear to ear.

Adam, Erica's brother, had come up a few times to visit. He had glasses and had just turned 16 and wants to direct film. He made a film of me and Spencer, it had been a time lapse of Spencer's stomach growing. Adam hadn't finished it and he said when the baby was born to take a photo and send it to him, so he could finish it and email us the video.

"Good luck Spencer." Erica said before leaving the room and shouting at the other students outside to mind thier own business.

*end of flashback*

Erica's brother had emailed us the video about a week after Adam was born, the music in the background was perfect by Ed sheeran. It was our song.

Once I pulled up outside Spencer's, she was already waiting by the door.
Adam ran up to her when I let him out the car.

"Well looks like you had a good time."
"Yeah I was powlice man." I laughed with Spencer.
"Thanks for taking him today."
"It's fine I had a lot of fun, so how was your day?"
"Ugh God don't remind me, Caleb stupidly told Hanna not to marry Jordan, she was not happy."
"Bad move Caleb."
"Yeah, he's not in the best mood."
"those two were made for each other they'll sort it out."
"Yeah they will. So er Alison is having a dinner tonight and she said you can come if you want."
"She text me, I'm afraid I'm going to pass on that one. Yvonne wants some alone time but we should do it another time."

Spencer's POV

Of course she does, how am I meant to win Toby back if I can't even get him to go to a dinner with friends because his stupid girlfriend hates me. Okay so I know what your thinking, I hate her more and that's true but still.
