Bopomofo : mandarin phonetic symbols. They are major chinese transliteration system for taiwanese mandarin /mandarin.
It isn't an compulsory to memorize the characters such as this :
However, I strongly suggested you to mastered or at least know these phonetics like "b" , "p" , etc. Just ignore the characters. xD
After these, I'm sure you will fluent in pronouncing and more or less you can ease your mouth in speaking. (according to my experience ofc)
TIPS OF THE DAY
1. Follow the video till the end
2. Firstly, pronounce each phonetics carefully and as similar as possible. You can jot it down chronologically in your note as you learned.3. Repeat it yourself, cited it and make it into a flow of song. Each phonetics in the first tone.
4. Pronounce along with the video. (this time you would be familiar with it! Yay you did it!)
5. Cited once more without looking at your notes nor listen to the video.
When you finally grip the phonetic song (by pronouncing it in chronological order in the first tone), you'll find it easier to pronounce words.
Meaning no mistake of pronouncing chinese words in english enunciation :)
