Radicals
A Chinese radical (Chinese: 部首; pinyin: bùshǒu; literally: "section header") is a graphical component of a Chinese characterunder which the character is traditionally listed in a Chinese dictionary.
There are approximately 214 radicals. (just for you to know :) )
Chinese radicals are roughly equivalent as alphabet and used to index the character for chinese dictionaries.
