The Legend
The Jade emperor wanted to select 12 out of all the animals to be his palace guards. Hearing this, animals raced to the palace. Ox, coming to the palace first, was expected to be the first. Unexpected turns of event when the rat cleverly hid behind the ox's ear, essentially becoming the first. The Tiger was crowned as the King of the Forest while the Dragon was titled the Lord of the Sea, and they ranked behind the Ox. The Rabbit won a race with the Dragon and gained the fourth place. The Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, and Rooster followed. The Dog was punished to be the last one for biting the Rabbit. Since there are a latecomer, the dog was in the eleventh place while the pig settled at the last place.
