After getting back from the hospital, the next week was hell. Not only was everyone fussing over me, I wasn't allowed to train. I was itching to run, or attack someone. I couldn't deal with this. My body had perfectly healed. All I wanted was to train. But I wasn't allowed.

Whatever I had said about needing to relax, I take it back.

After being involved in another attack, my mother had been crazy to the point where I was avoiding her. But it wasn't just her. James was refusing to train me. I had been begging him all week, but he just brushed me off. In fact, he had been avoiding me.

Now, I was sitting in my room, and my brain wouldn't stop. Usually I would go for a run when I was feeling like this. But they had actually got people watching me in case I snuck out. They had me locked up.

I tapped my foot and then jumped up. I needed to do something.

I literally ran downstairs. People were running around like crazy. I rolled my eyes. This better not go to that boys head.

It was Thursday, and on Friday, it was Damien's eighteenth. And that was big deal. Everyone in the pack was running around trying to organise the perfect party. The females were freaking about food, the males were busy building a bonfire, and the teenagers were grouping together to buy as much alcohol as possible.

I walked into the kitchen, and chaos was happening. My mom and Clara were running around, bossing everyone about. I squeezed in and tried to get my mom's attention.

"Mom? Do you need any help?"

She looked up from the clipboard (yes, a freaking clipboard) and smiled at me. "Oh sweetie, as much as I would love you to help, we're doing fine. You go rest."

I gritted my teeth. "I don't need rest, I need something to do. I'm bored out of my mind mom. And since you won't let me run or train or do anything that would involve too much movement, just let me cook."

She shook her head. "Sorry Emmy, but we don't need you. Now I'm really busy so I'll see you later."

I groaned and watched as she walked away from me. I stomped my foot and headed towards the door. But it was blocked.

A group of around 15 girls were standing, staring outside and giggling. God help me.

I glanced around them and saw what the problem was. Damien, along with a few other guys, were outside building the bonfire. Shirtless. I had to admit, it was a nice view, but the fangirls were ridiculous.

Because Damien was turning 18, that meant he would find his mate. And every girl in the pack wanted to be his mate. So they had formed some kind of club. They followed him around school, around the pack house, desperately trying to get him to notice them. They were making people's lives hell. And by people, I meant me.

I finally managed to push my way outside. It was finally sunny. There were people on ladders hanging lights and trying to get everything ready. This was such a big deal they were even giving us the day off school for the party.

I walked over to the bonfire and threw my hands into the air. "Ok, I get that its your birthday tomorrow, and that's a big deal, but if your groupies don't stop hanging around, I'm going to kill someone."

Damien just smirked at me. "Not my fault the ladies love me."

I rolled my eyes. "Well if you put on a shirt they might be a bit less hormonal."

A few people chuckled and I saw Lisa (with Tommy of course) hanging lights.

"Wait! I have been on lock down for the last week and she gets to help!" Lisa shrugged and continue to giggle as Tommy whispered in her ear. Gag.

Damien was walking around, trying to organise everything. I started following him. "Damien, please, give me something to do. I'm going crazy."

He laughed. "Emmy, don't be so dramatic. You're fine. And you know your mom will barbecue me if I let you help."

I moaned. "This isn't fair. I am losing it. I need a run or an activity. I'll clean, or look after the children. Something, please."

He paused. "Sorry Emmy."

I growled. "Fine. Stupid shirtless idiot. I'll find some else to do."

-

I was lying on my bedroom floor, my music blaring, a few hours later. I was still bored, but I was mad so that kept me occupied. I was ignoring everyone and everything.

I checked my watch seeing it was now 8 pm, and I sighed. I simply turned up my music and continued to stare at my ceiling.

Then my door was flung open and then banged shut. I sat up to see Damien looking around wildly. I raised my eyebrows and then lay back down.

"And what do you want?"

"Hide me." I sat back up. "Please hide me. They have been following me all day, and I can't take it anymore. I'm going crazy."

I laughed. "Damien don't be so dramatic." I mimicked his words from earlier.

He rolled his eyes. "Ha ha, very funny. Now please hide me. Those fangirls are crazy."

I sighed, standing up and walking over to my door. I shoved him out of the way and slowly cracked it open. Looking out, I saw the same group of girls from earlier. They were crazy.

I closed the door again and put my hands on my hips. "I'm not happy about this. Really not happy. But those girls are crazy. So you can hide in here until they leave." I then flopped back on to the ground.

Damien quickly followed. We sat, just listening to the music for a while. Then he spoke.

"They all want to be my mate. I don't see why. My dad has basically banned me from ever becoming alpha."

I rolled my eyes. "Please, you were never not going to be alpha. Your dad's pissed, sure, but he's not stupid. And those girl's know it. They are going to follow you until you find your mate and she kicks their asses."

He chucked. "I know. It's just creepy. At dinner, they just sat and watched me eat. The whole time."

I snorted. "Adoring fans are never fun."

"Yeah whatever."

I rolled on to my stomach and looked at him. "At least you can go and do stuff. I'm stuck in here. It might not seem like it, but I'm excited for the opportunity to just relax and dance. Have some fun. Its been a boring week."

"Everyone's just worried about you. This is the second rogue attack in the last two months and you were involved in both. Its making people worry a bit."

I sighed. "I don't need people to worry. As long as I'm alive and can protect the people I love, that's all I need."

He shook his head. "You don't get it Emmy. You say you want too protect the people you love, but what about the people who love you? You need to let them protect you. Every so often its ok to need somebody."

I stayed silent.

"Needing someone doesn't make you weak, okay? And I know I might have called you weak at some point, but I couldn't have been more wrong. But you still need some help."

I faceplanted the ground and Damien laughed at me. "I'll try. But I'm not making any promises." I smiled at him. "Now come on, lets sneak out of this room. I need some food."

He nodded and we headed over to the window. This couldn't be that hard.

I really hope that people are enjoying this. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback about this and I'm really happy.

Please keep leaving your comments and vote if you feel like it. I will be posting the bonus chapter in next few days.
