Damien's P.O.V.

She stormed away from me again. I swore under my breath, and stomped upstairs.

I could see where she was coming from but I had freaked out. What if she had been pregnant? We would have a baby to take care of. And while my wolf enjoyed this thought, I wasn't ready. And I knew Emmy wasn't ready either.

I flopped on to my bed as I got to my room. I lay with my face pressed into a pillow until I heard someone come into the room. My head shot up, expecting to see Emmy but it was Ben.

"Dude, what's wrong with you?"

I ran a hand over my face. "Big fight with Emmy. What's up?"

He shrugged. "I was planning on heading to the park for a game with some of the boys. Wanna come?"

I hesitated. I knew I should have waited for Emmy to come back, and apoligise to her. But she had run off on me. Why couldn't I go and let off some steam?

"Yeah man, give me a minute to change?"

He nodded. "Meet you downstairs in ten."

He then walked out of the room and downstairs. I pulled on a pair of shorts and a clean t shirt. I stuck my feet in my trainers and headed downstairs after Ben.

When we got to the park, I saw a bunch of the guys from the pack. We all high fived (our usual greeting) and then started playing. The game last a couple of hours, and by the end, my head was a lot clearer.

We headed back to the house, very sweaty and tired.

But when I got there, something seemed wrong.

I walked through the door and instantly saw my father. "Dad? What's wrong?"

There was a very worried look on his face and my wolf was now on-alert.

He sighed. "Damien, I need you to stay calm, okay?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Tell me."

"It's Emmy. She's missing."

I felt like the ground had been sweeped out from under me. All the air seemed to rush out of the room, and I could barely breathe.

"Damien?"

"Tell me everything that happened." I was just able to speak. My wolf was freaking out, especially because he couldn't get through to his mate. The mind-link was cut off.

"She went out for a run or something. She was gone for around a couple of hours, when her mind-link was completely cut off. Even when she's blocking everyone out, we can still feel it. But it's gone That means someone has injected her with something that stops it."

I nodded slowly, trying to process all of this without my head exploding.

"We sent out a party and followed her scent to a spot near the border. There were other scents as well. It was rogues."

My mind felt like it was shutting down.

"What are we going to do then?"

My question was answered with silence. My head shot up. "We are going to do something, right?"

"Damien-"

"We are talking about my mate right now dad. The future Luna of this pack. So I ask again, what are we going to do?"

He sighed. "We don't know yet Damien. No plan has been made. We don't know where she is, or how big a rogue pack we will be up against."

I shook my head. "See, that sounds like you're saying we do nothing."
