A Week Later

*Elijah's POV*

“Raheem, I'm not playing games with you if you want my help just tell me what the job is”

“Where's Asiah my boys haven't seen her lately”

“Where do you want me to meet you?” I ask ignore his question

“Did you tell her what's going on or did you send her away without any explanation?”

“Where do you want me to meet you?” I repeat

“Doesn't this kinda of remind you of something?”

“You want my help or not” I say clenching my teeth

“Meet me at the ol' spot”

“Okay”

I walk into the old small white house that's taken a beating over the years

I do the secret knock

A eye appears looking at me through the peephole “E-Money?”

“Yeah, it's me Mac”

Mac opens the door “I thought you were out?” 

"I am after this one"

“How's your daughter?”

“Good and yours?”

“Good, she's just started the first grade”

“That's great man” I say

I can't believe I'm standing here talking to of my old homie about our children

“Where's Rah?” Rah, Raheem's s street name

“He's in the back”

I walk pass two coffee table that are full of guns as I walk down the hall there are nicely stack bags full of drugs which each have a number and a location where it's going to I reach the end of the hall I knock on the door.

“Who is it?” Raheem asks

“Me”

“Who's me?”

I sigh “E-Money”

“Come in”

I sit down in a old beat up chair “I see nothing around here has changed”

He laughs “This place used to be the spot back in the day and now look at it's a piece of shit”

“Just like the guy runnin' it”

“Funny little, bro”

“What's the job?”

“Were gonna hit the eastside boyz”

“A'ight when?”

“Tonight”

Raheem gets up from his chair “Mac, Ray, To-To, B-Back, Hector, you and I are gonna to light them up tonight we're taking back our territory”

I take off my snapback “So what we workin' with?”

A smirk appears on his face “That's the E-Money I know”

“I'm doing this for my family” I say to myself

“You ready?” To-To asks me

“Yeah”

I've got a pocket knifes both of my shoes and I've got two guns in my waistband we're dressed head to toe in black and have bandannas on our faces we all get out of the van

“I want Mac and Hector in the back To-To and B-Back one the sides then Ray, and E-money with me in the front let's go” Raheem says

We all do what we're told

Ray, Rah, and I walk up the street corner where them eastside boyz are there about three of them Nick, Jay, and Rick

“Who dat?” Nick asks

“Your worst nightmare” Raheem says firing the first shot

It happens all in a blink of eye shots are being firing so quickly I don't realize I've been hit until I hear sirens and I begin running I can feel liquid running from my abdomen to my legs I grab my stomach I feel the blood gushing out of my body I make back into the car

“Is everyone here?” Rah asks

“To-To, B-Back, Mac, Hector, E-money” Ray calls out our names

“What's wrong?” Mac says

“What is it?”

“E-Money's been hit”

Their voice start swirling around my head I an barely breathe I clutch my hand to my wound

“Aye, E, stand with me” Raheem says slapping my face

“I can't” I say weakly

“This is all my fault I should have never asked you to do this” he says 

I can't say anything I can barely breath 

“Eli, you need to stay awake we're taking you to a hospital you need to stay awake for your family”

I focus all my energy on trying to stay awake

I can feel my hand being removed from my injure

“Oh shit!”

“What?”

“He's been shot several types”

“What?”

“He's been shot four times”

I can hear voice talking about me but I can't make out who's who I can't  make sense of anything

I focus my energy on breathing but there's a darkness coming over me

“We're here bro, we're at the hospital your gonna get all the help you need”

I try to fight the darkness but its difficult

“We've got a twenty two year old african anerican male been shot four times” is the last thing I hear before my eyes close.
