*Asiah's POV*
Dr. Frankfurter comes into the waiting room
I begin waking up Raheem “Wake up” I say pushing him
“Leave me alone” he mumbles
“Boy, you better wake yo' ass up right now” I say
“Fine” he says opening his eyes
“Hello” Dr. Frankfurter says
“How is he?” I ask
“The surgery went smoothly”
“Is he awake? When can we see him?”
“He's still unconscious and you can see right now if you like”
“Thank you so much doctor”
“Not a problem it's my job”
“I'm going to call Victoria” I say getting up
The phone only rings once before she answers
“What's going on with my baby?” she asks
“The surgery went well”
“Is he awake?”
“No, he's still unconscious”
“Asiah, c'mon” Raheem shouts
“We're about to go see him right now”
“Give him a kiss from us”
“Okay, and give Alexis a big kiss from Elijah and me” I say
“Okay, bye”
“Bye”
I hang up my phone
Raheem and I walk to the room 201 where Elijah's resting Raheem walks inside the room
I stop and stare at the white door with a small window
Raheem comes out of the room “Are you waiting for this nigga to give you a invitation or something?”
“That's not funny” I say
“You hear me laughing? Now bring yo' ass up in this room” he says grabbing my arm
I pull away from him “I can't do in there”
He sigh “Why?”
“I won't want to see like in a hospital bed”
He shakes his head “Fine stay here and look stupid”
I step close to him he's a few inches taller them me but I try my best to eye to eye with him “I'm not some dumb hoe you can talk down to and if you keep talking to me like it I'm going to whup your ass”
“Luckily were already in a hospital” he says smirking
He's really starting to piss me off
“You think I'm playin' with yo' dumbass this is your fault” I say pointing to the door
His smirk falls off his face he stare at me with cold and hard eyes his jaw is clenched and fist balled up
“You wanna hit me?” I ask
He starts shaking with angry
“Do it! I dare you to hit me you punk ass b--”
Nurse Astor interrupt me “You can go see him now?” she says smiling
“Thank you” I say
“Go” she says standing there waiting for us to inside Elijah's room
“Ladies first” Raheem says opening the door
“Thanks” I say
I walk into the room there Elijah is in a white hospital gown with a few wires attached his his chest and there a monitor beep rhythmically I walk over to him I kiss his cheek “Long time no see” I whisper
“You really love him, huh?” Raheem asks
“Yes, I love him unconditionally” I say looking at Elijah
“He looks a lot better then...” Raheem stops
“Then the last time you seen him?” I ask
He nods his head “I'mma give y'all a moment”
I hold Elijah's hand “You have to wake up I don't know much of this I can take I need you, Alexis needs you and so does your mom I even think Raheem needs you”
I feel his hand twitch “Elijah? Can you hear me?”
His hand twitches again “Oh, my god, I'll be right back”
I stick my head out of the door “Come here”
Raheem looks at me like I'm retarded
“I said come here”
“You need to quit actin' like you the boss of me” he says walking over
I smack him upside the head “Nigga, I am the boss so get over it” I say
“You crazy--”
“Watch yo' mouth before you get smacked again”
“What did you want?”
“His hand twitch”
“What?”
“His hand twitch go hold his hand”
“I ain't holdin' that nigga's hand I ain't no damn homo”
I grab him and drag him over to his brother “Hold his hand” I say
“I'll do but I still ain't no homo”
“Just do it”
Raheem grabs his hand then he looks at me “Ain't nothing-- he moved his hand!”
“Told you so”
“Aye, we need to tell the doctor or somebody”
“Okay, go get a doctor or a nurse”
“A'ight I'mma be right back”
“Hurry back”
This one little movement has caused me so much joy I begin crying “Baby, I know you gonna wake up and when you do I'mma be right here with you”
