Her number is on my speed dial list on my phone I press number four I listen to the dial tone I wait for her to answer
“I told you not to call unless it's an emergency” she speaks harshly and annoyed
“This is an emergency”
“What is it?”
“I need 2.1 million dollars”
“For what?”
“It's for Eli”
She sighs “What's he need it for?”
“Stop asking so many questions are you gonna give me the money or not?”
“I'll wire it your account”
“When?”
“When I get some time”
“And you ain't got no time right now?”
“I'm at work”
“Aren't you the boss you can take a break when you want”
She laughs lightly “You haven't changed on bit”
“Neither have you” I say
“This isn't for anything stupid right?”
“Cassidy, you know me--”
“That's the problem I know you” she says
“It's not for me I already told you”
“Yeah, whatever Raheem I don't have time for you games you'll get you money before the day ends” she says
“Thanks, Cassidy”
“Bye”
“Bye” I say hanging up my phone
“So what's happening?” Ray asks
“She's gonna give me the money”
“That's great”
“Yeah”
“You know how Cassidy do she's always has catch”
“I know but I don't care as long as my brother gets the help he needs”
“I feel you mane” Hector says
“I'll keep E, in my prayers”
“Thanks, Hector”
“Yeah, we all gonna to pray for E” B-Back says
“Thanks y'all that means a lot to me”
I say holding my tears in there is one thing I never do in front of my crew and that's cry no matter what I keep my emotions hidden I've got a great poker face.
*Victoria's POV*
I sit at the table drinking my tea
“Victoria” Asiah says my name softly
“Hmm”
“Can I join?I finally but Alexis back to sleep”
