I wake up entangled with Elijah, who's drooling a little bit a small laugh escapes my lips

my cell phone rings
“Elijah” I say waking him up
He stirs “What?”
“Can you hand me my phone?”
“M'kay” he grab my phone which for some reason is on his nightstand
“Thanks babe” I kiss his cheek
“Hmm” he says going back to sleep
“Hello” I answer my phone
“Where are you?” a female voice asks
“Excuse me you are not my mama I don't have to explain myself to you”
“Asiah Cassandra Wright you may be grown but don't think I won't whup your little behind"
“Mama, I'm sorry I thought you were someone else”
“It's okay baby, now where are you?”
“At home, why?”
“Your suppose to be picking us up”
“Oh, yeah, sorry I totally forgot I'm on my way right now”
“Okay, baby girl we'll see you soon”
“Bye ma”
“Bye”
I hang up my phone I try to get out of bed but my legs ache I'm sore from last night activities
“Babe” I say nudging him
“Hmm”
“I'm going to go pick my mom and brother from the airport” I say finally standing up
“M'kay” he mumbles
“Elijah, wake up”
“I don't wanna”
“Well that's too bad” I say ripping the covers off him

“Elijah” I say mocking him
“Fine, I'm up” he says
“Good, I'll see you when I get back”
“Okay”
I put on a black juicy tracksuit then walk downstairs when I grab my car keys I remember the engagement ring on my finger I chew at my bottom lip I take it off not sure what to do with I put in my pocket.

“Thanks” I say “So are you guys going to be staying at a hotel or with me?” I ask praying they want to stay at a hotel
