Hexa ran off towards the woods, Abigail close on her tail.
"Hexa, wait up!" she called, laughing as she raced after the smaller girl, who practically had super-speed.
"No, you keep up!" Hexa yelled back at her, not slowing down in the slightest until she got into the woods, where she suddenly stopped, listening.
"So why are we in the Forbidden Forest?" Abigail asked.
"Shh," Hexa answered.
Abigail gave her a confused look as Hexa tilted her head to the side. She heard something, like a whisper, coming from the North East, and she gave the tiniest smile before she took off running again, not as fast this time, though, because she didn't want to lose Abigail.
"Hexa!" Abigail called. "Hexa, I can't see you, come back!"
Three seconds later, Hexa had Abigail's hand in hers and was running again.
The noise that used to be a whisper grew louder, and was made out to be some not-so-flattering words.
"Clumsy, did you get caught again?" she called as she came to a fairly small clearing where none other than Cade the centaur was caught in the tree.
"Feather! Hey!" he said. "Didn't expect to see you for another three or four days!"
"How do you ever get down from these stupid things without me?" she teased, ignoring his question.
"Another centaur usually finds me, or if I can twist around enough to grab an arrow that eventually works, even if it's really slow and hard to grab in these stupid nets. So gonna help me out of this thing?"
"Ah, feel like falling on your face again?"
"WELL it's better than hanging upside down for a few more hours."
"Alright then." She flounced over, her daggers in her hands suddenly, and slashed at the net.
Once he was on his feet again, Cade gave her a hug.
"So I thought you said you wouldn't be here until Christmas yesterday?" he asked after stepping back to a more casual distance.
Hexa shrugged. "We got bored."
"You and those two friend guys of yours, Feather?"
"Not this time. Clumsy, meet Abigail. Abigail, this is Cade. I call him Clumsy though."
They spent a few hours talking, helping Cade with traps, and running around and laughing (both with and at one another).
Once dinner time, they went back to the castle to meet up with Drarry.
It was an uneventful dinner, just talking and laughing like friends do about random stuff they won't remember the next day. . .
Hexa was glad to see that the two boys were warming up to Abigail, or at least accepted her when Hexa was around.
Later that night, she wrote to Draco in her journal while Abigail took a long shower.
So what happened while Abigail and I were gone? she asked him.
Not much, he responded. He joked more with me. . . smiled more. . . Poked me a few times, teasingly, I think. . .
Aww cute, she said.
He was just being friendly. Draco's protesting seemed a bit weak to Hexa, like he wanted her to argue with him that he was actually trying to be affectionate in a more-than-friend way.
Hexa decided not to be totally blunt and wrote a skeptical, Maybe. . . in response.
Well, I'm going to go shower. I'll talk to you in the morning, Hexa.
Night, Prince, sleep well.
Goodnight, Hexa.
I know, I haven't updated in FIVE WEEKS!!! I feel really bad, like super awful!! For the first two weeks there was a lot of drama, and I needed some time, and then I got out of the habit of writing and this is so short, and I feel awful, and I'm about to go buy a sledgehammer to get through this block in my writing, okay? I promise I'll update by next week, no matter what.
Hold me to that.
Please.
Because I'll probably forget, and then I'll feel bad.
And I hate feeling bad, and you guys are amazing, and I'm so sorry
