Letters for Days Nine and Ten

Day Nine

Dear Hermione and Ron,

Today the gift was a blanket, one that changes pictures like the journal covers. It's got to be the softeset thing ever. It seems like one of those things that you never knew you wanted until you have it. Quite a thoughtful gift. I'm almost convinced it's Hexa, just the way she acts when the whole twelve days thing is brought up . . . the only thing, though, is that she's an amazing liar, so I don't get why she's so bad at hiding the fact that it's her, if it is her, at least. Even the notes are written so expertly, which does work because apparently Hexa wants to be a writer. She read some of her original stories that she's working on and they are absolutely brilliant. Mostly we hung out in the Room of Requirement all day, playing chess and working on homework, Hexa read to us while playing chess. It was really fun and relaxing.

Dear Harry,

Hexa definitely seems like a good candidate for being the anonymous person, and her reactions when the gifts come up is probably just her getting flustered and/or embarressed by it. It seems fitting with how you've described her to us. Sorry our letter is so short, but we really need to be going, we're going out shopping today and tomorrow for everyone, it's really hard finding the right gifts for everyone. Good luck with that yourself.

Day Ten

Dear Hermione and Ron,

Today the gift was a jar full of motivational scroll-filled cookies, muggle things called fortune cookies. You break one open and eat the cookie and there's a piece of parchmant that'll tell you something you want to know/hear, either consoling or confidence-boosting. They'll only work for me, Hexa, and Draco, though. Oh, and the papers can't tell you anything that isn't at least a half-truth. We toured all of the common rooms today. It was really fun, getting to see all of those different types of common rooms. [insert brief description of each here]. We spent the most time in the Hufflepuff common room. There was us three, and Abigail, and two other Ravenclaws that Hexa knows. We worked on some schoolwork also, Hexa finished hers a few days ago, but I suppose that makes sense since all of her assignments were essays. Her writing skills are absolutely brilliant.

Dear Harry,

Those magic fortune cookies seem very intriguing, you must let me study them. Ron's being shallow as always, whining about "Why won't they work for me?" On a seperate note, I must notice that you and Draco seem to be warming up to Abigail? Has Hexa finally convinced you two that she's not such a bad person and just made a few bad descisions? I must say that was my opinion about it all, as well. I'm also thinking that those twins aren't really on your suspect list anymore? Honestly, who is on the suspect list right now other than Hexa? I won't be able to write back until Christmas night, by the way [insert reason here because IDFK at this point]. Can't wait to hear about who it is and what the final gift will be.
