~Chapter 26~ Birthday Bash.

Mitch and I were finally living in our own home together. Our. That is such a nice word. It isn't just mine, nor just his, it's ours.

We had been living in this house for three months now. Our life was very normal, besides Mitch having to record often. I always made fun of him for it, but he didn't care. It was all in our loving fun.

I never felt better. Adam, Jerome, and Tyler had left and went their separate ways. Now it was just Mitch and I. Together. Just him and I, nobody else. That concept was really funny to me.

I never felt this loved by anyone. Mitch and I living together was what was best for everyone. By everyone, I meant myself.

Our birthdays were both approaching soon. His was before mine, though. With our upcoming birthdays came more wedding plans. We still had a year to decide what to do. We couldn't even legally drink in the United States yet, let alone get married. We still had two more years, but that must mean the wedding will be perfectly planned.

I had gotten a job to help support Mitch and I. He kept telling me that I didn't need to, but I had to. Everything I did within those three months was for myself.

So, I got a small job at a restaurant down the road from us. My wonderful future husband always dropped me off and picked me up if he wasn't busy.

Soon our birthdays passed and we were another year older. Our birthdays were so close that we decided just to have one massive party for the both of us. We invited many of Mitch's YouTube recording buddies and rented out a warehouse for our huge birthday bash

Being the couple that we are, we decided to decorate it all by ourselves. I went to a party store to buy the classic party decorations. Streamers, balloons, table clothes, and candy was in the cart I was pushing. It wasn't cheap, but it didn't cost as much as I thought it was going to.

I then went to a bakery to pick up the cake that we picked out. It was a white cake with a strawberry filling in the middle. It had whipped frosting and a colorful design. The cake said happy birthday then our names. There were little colorful shapes around the border. The cake was in a big square.

I had arrived at the warehouse after getting more decor and food for the party. I had bought bread and sandwich fixings for people to make their own sandwiches. There were also a variety of potato chips, along with tortilla chips with many dips.

Mitch and I spent the day before the party setting up the decorations. The whole place looked very well done. Everything was put well together and looked nice. We then spent the rest of the day picking out the outfits that we were going to wear at the party.

The day of the party was here. We had everything but the food ready. Mitch and I got there early to set it up. He and I did everything by ourselves. It was a cute little experience for us. I would be lying if I said we didn't flirt half the time, but we still managed to get it all done. We then put the chips into huge bowls and put out all the dips. I got out the coolers and filled them with pop and waters. Someone of age to purchase beer was going to bring it.

Everyone suddenly started arriving. I never left Mitch's side in the beginning of the event.

Many people came up to us and wished us a happy birthday.

I never knew how to respond to that. Just saying a simple 'thanks' was not good enough in my opinion. You can't reply with the nice 'you too!' because it wouldn't make sense. So I did the normal thing and just smiled. I didn't know what else to do.

You could clearly distinguish the groups of people, being how they all were clustered into separate groups. There was one group for the couples, one for the single dudes, one for the single females, and some were scattered into other groups. Mitch and I visited with people until the place had suddenly became quiet. Everyone was looking behind us. I looked to see what everyone was quiet about.
