~Chapter 27~ Cheating?

I woke up around 9 in the morning and went through my daily morning routine. Showering and making myself presentable was a must.

I walked out into the living room where our guests were either passed out on the floor, or watching something on the television. I went to go make breakfast for the group.

I made eggs and bacon, for lack of being able to really make anything else. I served it to them on paper plates with plastic utensils. They were offered something to drink, so I made most of them coffee. I then sat down in a chair and observed their behavior around each other.

Mitch walked into the room about 45 minutes later. By this time, everyone was up and fed. I relaxed in the chair, closing my eyes for maybe minutes at a time.

"Mitch?" I asked. He ran over to my side and asked what I needed. "When is the convention thingy?" I asked.

"It starts tomorrow afternoon, I believe. Why?" He asked.

"We need to clean the place still. Do you think they could help?" I asked. Mitch asked them and they agreed. After everyone had gotten ready, we left and headed to where the party had taken place.

We cleaned up the mess from the floor and removed all of the decorations hanging on the walls. Everyone helped and had fun while doing it.

There was some flirting between certain people, but I won't name names. All you need to know is that I got pretty jealous.

We all went out to a pizza place after the cleaning was over, and it was fun I suppose. The flirting didn't stop, but I didn't let it get to me. I just sat back and laughed with my new friends. I caught people stare at me from time to time, but only because of my loud voice.

Eating was definitely the highlight of the day. Every meal we had, I talked to Lachlan. It's funny how well we got along, actually. After the Jason incident yesterday, I felt as if I could tell him anything.

Along with that incident came Mitch acting strange. He seemed more nice to everyone around us, and he tried to avoid me in any way possible. I tried not to let it get to me, but that was hard.

There was another night of parting, only at a much smaller level. Everyone went to hotels after that so they could get ready for the convention the next day. We said our goodbyes, then went to bed.

"Mitch?" I asked. He replied with a harsh what, and I continued. "I'm going to sleep on the couch tonight," I sighed, "Call for me if you need me. Doubt you will, though," I said. He rolled his eyes and walked to the bed room. What he didn't know was that I had plans to stay with Lachlan.

I snuck out of the house and out into a car. Someone was driving it, but I couldn't see who because of the dark car. We didn't talk the whole ride there, we just sat in silence.

The vehicle stopped and I got out. I thanked the man and he parked. I ran into the hotel to see Lachlan waiting for me. I ran over and hugged the life out of him. I think it's safe to say that we were close friends.

We walked over to the elevator while making small talk. The elevator stopped and opened up. I asked for the floor number and pressed the button. We stood in the corner waiting for us to get there. We had stopped, and a couple came in. The girl started flirting with Lachlan, which left a sour taste in my mouth.

Without thinking, I pulled Lachlan down, because he was much taller, and kissed him lightly. That shut the girl up instantly. She walked back over to the other male and started to flirt with him.

The doors opened fairly slow and Lachlan grabbed my hand. He pulled me out behind him. We ran down the hall to his hotel room. He struggled to put in the card to open the door. When he finally was able to open it, he pulled us both inside. What happened next surprised me.
