High School (Part Seven)

"I wish I was a year younger," Jungkook groaned as he plopped his books down onto his desk. He slid into his seat and looked at his friend, Eli, his head in his hands.

"Oh, yeah right," Eli grunted. He crossed his legs and ran a hand through his chocolate brown hair. "Why so?"

"Because then (Y/N) wouldn't have to step into her first high school year alone." Jungkook put his stuff under his desk and propped his feet up on the desk in front of him. It was sixth period and his teacher wouldn't mind if he took out his phone and watched YouTube instead of doing his homework. "She was freaking out again last night."

Eli nodded. "Again?"

Jungkook nodded. "She's so worried and I wish I could be here just to help her out along the way."

"You still live at home, though. It' not like you can't be there. You just won't be at school," Eli noted.

Jungkook rolled his eyes. "You're an only child, Eli. You don't understand."

"Jungkook, it's not going to be that bad for her," Eli protested, turning a bit in his desk to face his aggravated friend.

"Yes, it is! She breaks out into tears every time we mention it."

Eli sighed. "She's just going to move up a grade and move into a different part of the school."

"I try to explain to her that it's not that bad but she doesn't understand." And Jungkook did try his best when he was at home to cheer you up and get you ready for the future. He wished he could at least accompany you for a few weeks to help you transition to the new life style of being in high school. He wished he was able to walk you through your first day and give you pointers on what to do and what not to do.

"I just hope she would start to chill out," Jungkook said as he took out his ear buds. "I know it's hard for you to understand but really, it worries me."

"I'm sure she's got it."

"I hope so."
