You were almost seventeen when Jin came home and said that his job was having him move to America for some business. It was part of expanding the company, and since Jin was one of the CEO's main people, he was sent to promote this company and see if it was possible to expand it to the states. But along with himself, he had to have his siblings come along, too.

"We're old enough to stay here," Jungkook, a twenty-two year old, snipped. "Do you think we're not responsible?"

Jin sighed. "No, but it would be better for you guys to come with me. It's just for a year. Think of all the fun memories we could make."

"What are we going to do about schooling?" Jimin asked, knowing you were still in high school.

"My boss said he would take care of everything like that, including the housing," Jin explained. "I asked Mi Sun if she could house-sit. She's moving out of her apartment soon, anyways. She could stay here until she found somewhere else to stay."

"We can't speak English, though," Yoongi brought up.

"He will take care of that, too," Jin responded. "Everything will get situated. It's just a matter on who wanted to come now, since you guys are set on staying here."

And after a week of thinking things over, it seemed like the Kim family would be splitting up for a year. Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook were staying home while Jin, Namjoon, Taehyung, and you were getting ready for a new adventure in some far off place.

"Hi," you stated in English as you sat next Taehyung on the plane.

"Hello," he responded, trying his best at English.

"How are you?" you asked slowly.

Taehyung thought before smiling. "Good. How are you?"

You nodded. "Good. What is your name?"

"Taehyung Kim."

You grinned, feeling as though you were getting somewhere with your limited knowledge of the English language. "I am (Y/N) Kim."

Namjoon tapped your shoulder and proceeded to share his knowledge of the language. "What do you to plan to do when we get there?"

You and Taehyung mulled over what he asked before Taehyung said sleep. "Oh, eat!" you giggled.

Namjoon stopped talking slowly and went on with picking up the pace of his tone. "What if we go sight-seeing and get the lay of the land?"

To you and your brother it sounded more like gibberish that anything and Namjoon caught onto that by seeing the blank stares on your faces. He grinned and told you guys that you would get it eventually.

It was a month before you started attending a new school. You looked at the gates, holding your books and feeling anxiety well up inside you. Stepping out of the car, you gathered up all the courage you had and began to start towards your new school. But after you took five steps, you immediately wanted to leave. You turned back to see if you could jump back in the car but you were met with it driving off down the road. You gulped before succumbing to your fate.

It was your first period class and you were already getting stared at. A few people had smiled your way and waved, welcoming you to their school, but others shot intimidating looks down at you. You picked a desk out to the side of the class, not too far back, not too far forwards, and not too much in the center.

The teacher came in and was announcing that this year was going to be fun and exciting before she went to introducing everyone.

"And this year, we have a new student," she announced, smiling warmly at you. Everyone turned to you and observed the new student sitting amongst them. "Why don't you introduce yourself and tell everyone a little bit about you?"

You stood up, your legs wobbling beneath you. You looked at all the eyes staring at you and you felt so small compared to everything. "Ah," you murmured, constructing a sentence in your head before remembering to say it in English. "I am (Y/N) Kim and I moved here from Korea."

You heard someone snicker. "She's a probably spy or something ready to kill us."

Your teacher scolded the student but you were confused. "What is a spy?"

Everyone started laughing and your teacher did everything she could to settle them down. As for you, you slumped back into your seat, wanting to disappear from everyone and everything for forever.

You ran to the car after school and piled in. "I hate everything!" you whined.

Namjoon chuckled. "And why's that?"

"I'm a complete failure!" you shrieked. You threw yourself back and felt some tears try to appear but you pushed them away. "I messed up everything."

"Are you talking about speaking in English?" he asked, an eyebrow raising.

"I thought I could get by but then I asked a simple question and they all want to attack me," you carried on.

"They just don't understand," your brother comforted. "You've been raised somewhere else all your life, what do they expect?"

"Can we just go home?" you questioned. "I can at least speak Korean there all I want."

Namjoon smiled. "Yes, of course."
