Some people wanted a part two to "First Dance."
AND GUYS I WAS SO CAUGHT UP IN UPDATING MY OTHER STORIES I FORGOT I WAS SUPPOSED TO UPDATE THIS ONE, I'M SO SORRY GAH
---
Jimin was determined to get your confidence up for your first school dance. He didn't want to make you go, but he did want get your self esteem up so you would at least consider it. Plus, he wanted to make sure you would have fun at your first dance and not sulk in a corner like he did.
"See?" Jimin skipped over to a dress and pulled it off the rack. "Don't you think this is pretty?"
You nodded. It was white and very flowy. "I like it."
"Go try it on!" he insisted, handing it to you. You complied, going over to the dressing rooms and stepping inside. Jimin continued to look around, finding dresses he thought would suit you. He didn't really worry about it being to your liking, for you and him had the same likes and dislikes when it came to clothes. He just trusted his gut and hoped to find something you would like so much that you would want to eat, sleep, live in. That was one of the problems he had when he went to that horrid dance. He didn't like his outfit and it made him feel as though he looked stupid and ugly. He wanted to make sure you liked it with no second guessing.
"Does it look good?" he heard a small voice ask behind me.
He turned around and smiled. "That looks beautiful!"
You pursed your lips. "I feel like it's a bit granny-ish."
Jimin shook his head. "You look amazing. And don't worry about your hair looking bad with it. It'll be done that night so just imagine yout hair all sparkly and pretty."
You thought for a moment before shaking your head. "Can you find something else?"
Jimin nodded, upset that you were already starting off with the wrong mind set. You went back to the changing room and Jimin came shortly with a red dress that wasn't as flowy. You slipped it on and came back out, already disliking it.
"What's wrong with this one?" he asked, concerned. Jimin was wondering how you hated all these dresses. He thought every single one of them looked great on you.
"It just doesn't suit me," you murmured.
Jimin crossed his arms, leaning against the door frame of the changing room. He looked in the mirror at you. "Would it be better if I got someone else's opinion? I call Tae or Jin and see what they think. I could even get a sales lady and ask her what she thinks. That's what they're here for."
You looked down. "No, it's okay."
"Are you sure?" he questioned.
You opened your mouth to say something but your bottom lip quivered. Jimin used his foot to shut the door behind him before he sat down on the chair in the little room. "What's going on?"
"I told you," you whined, beginning to cry. "I just know that whatever I wear, even if I like it or not, someone is going to find something ugly about it and make fun of me."
"That's how people are," Jimin said. "And you just have to ignore them. If you like what you're wearing, then wear it with confidence. Just because they don't like it, that doesn't mean you have to change to fit their standards. You like it so why should it bother you what other people think?"
"Because I don't have the social medias they do, Jimin. If they post something about me then I wouldn't be able to know and the next thing I know, people are laughing at me in the halls." You wiped your eyes before going over to sit in your brother's lap. "If I wear something different, they'll think it's odd. That's why I never wore that outfit Namjoon got me for my birthday. It was different because it was more vintage looking but I knew someone wouldn't like that so they would make fun of me."
"People's opinions shouldn't bother you," your brother told you as he tried to hold you in his lap. "They think they know what looks good and that they know everything, but to be honest, I think most of the outfits they wear to events look trashy.
"Here's my thing. If you don't look good in something, a true friend would tell you. Hence why Taehyung is always sending his siblings back into their rooms to change something. A true friend would let you know if something didn't suit you. And the people that don't let you just want to see you fall apart. Don't let them tear you down like this."
You twiddled your thumbs, thinking over what your brother said. "You would tell me if I looked bad, wouldn't you?"
Jimin nodded. "I wouldn't let you wear something that didn't look good on you or anybody in that case."
You sighed. "Do you think I would get made fun of if I brought my brother to a school dance?"
Jimin shrugged. "It might seem weird."
"Would you at least sit in the car outside in case I want to leave early?" you muttered.
Jimin smiled. "Of course!"
You wiped your eyes once more before standing up. "Then I guess I need to look at more dresses."
"On it!" And with that, Jimin went in search of more elegant dresses that would make his little sister the belle of the ball.

My cry for help the last day of school lol.
I really liked this series because I could put my real emotions into it. I love writing stories like that.
Also, the covers a few of you have made are so pretty! I love them!
