You didn't get it. Why was everyone so mean to you? What did you do to deserve such hatred? Why did it seem like everyone hated you? And why didn't you just ask for help before it got so bad?
It sucked. You officially claimed that your school sucked. At first it just started out with a few taunts and nags here and there. Those were okay, for a while. They didn't really seem that haunting and even though there were some insults that made you run to the bathroom for safety, you dealt with it. You didn't need any help. You would be okay with out any.
But then it got physical. You remember putting your things in locker only to get shoved to the ground. You had laid there and when you tried to get back up, the leader of the group that kept attacking you pushed you back down, saying that you didn't have the right to walk on the ground they did. But they left soon, and you decided it wasn't that much to worry about.
That is until it seemed like you got hurt everyday. Punched, kicked, and shoved around every hallway, you earned many bruises and scratches. "It's not that bad," you told yourself. "They're just... playing around."
But they weren't. They were dead serious about causing you harm. And every day you would return home with some new mark of abuse displayed on your pretty soft skin.
"You okay?" Jimin asked, gesturing at your purple skin beside you at the dinner table.
"Huh? Oh, yeah," you brushed the subject off. "We just get a little rough when we play in P.E. It's nothing to worry about."
"You sure?" Yoongi sat his fork down and laid his head in his palms. "You have quite a few."
"I'm fine," you chuckled nervously. "I promise."
"You wouldn't lie, would you?" Hoseok questioned.
"Of course not," you lied.
"I have walked in on their hockey games," Jungkook noted. "They do get a little rough, hyung. I'm sure she's telling the truth."
But you weren't and you hated how easily it was to fool your siblings into thinking that everything was okay when it really wasn't.
And when you thought it couldn't get much worse, it did. It got to the point where you would beg Jin to let you stay home.
"Why?" he would ask.
"I just... I don't feel good," you would announce. "I don't think I would be able to focus or anything."
And he would let you stay home, but it got to the point where it was every day. "We can't let you skip school every day," Namjoon told you.
"But I really don't feel well," you faked.
"You haven't felt well at all for the past weeks, (Y/N/N)," Taehyung brought up. He was deeply concerned for you. "If it's this bad, maybe you need to take a trip to the doctor."
You sighed. "Fine. I'll go to school."
And then the next day when you woke up you felt your heart stop. What if they pull a knife on me? What if they hit me harder? What if they take everything a step too far? And when Jungkook would make sure you were up, he only found you sobbing under the covers.
"What's wrong?" Hoseok asked at the family meeting Jin called to order.
"Nothing, I swear," you promised.
"I know you're lying!" Jimin piped up. "What's been happening at school?"
"Nothing," you responded.
"It's not 'nothing,'" Namjoon said.
"Something is going on and you need to tell us," Taehyung urged.
You sighed. "People have been... hurting me," you muttered.
"Hm?" Jungkook leaned in closer. "What did you say?"
"People have been hurting me," you cried.
"What do you mean?" Jin questioned.
"That's why I've got all these bruises," you mentioned as you looked at your arms.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Jungkook asked. "You could've told me at school after it happened and I would've beaten them up."
"I didn't want to get in trouble."
"Trouble?" Jimin gasped. "Honey, you wouldn't ever get in trouble for something like that."
"You should've told us sooner," Taehyung added.
"So is this why you've been skipping school?" Hoseok interrogated as he gently rubbed your arm.
You nodded. "I didn't want to get hurt anymore."
"I wish I had known," Yoongi growled. He got up. "How about I go to your school tomorrow and have a chat with the principal?"
You shook your head. "They'll get in trouble and then I'll get hurt even more."
"If they lay another hand on you," Namjoon stated. "I'll make them regret every thing they did."
"Yeah," Jin agreed. "You need to tell someone and it hurts me to know that you've hidden it from us for so long."
"We only want what's best for you," Taehyung cooed.
"And if we have to kill people in the process, then so be it," Jungkook noted but was lightly smacked by Jimin.
Hoseok hugged you, sqeezing you tightly. "It'll be okay, dongsaeng. We'll get you help."
"In the mean time," Namjoon spoke, "you can stay clear of whoever is hurting you and hang out with Jungkook's crowd okay?"
"But Jungkook hates it when I hang out with his friends," you muttered.
"I value your safety more than my reputation," Jungkook said.
You wiped away a tear. "Thank you."
"Don't metion it," Jin smiled kindly before he planted a soft kiss on your forehead. "We'll get you happy again, you can bet on it!"
