Penelope relaxed in bed as she patiently waited for her two best friends, Grace Campbell and Monica Anderson, to show up so they could enjoy a nice girls day. Her Instagram was filled with people commenting on old pictures and trying to figure out why Lil Xan had mysteriously decided to follow the young girl.
She had no idea what to do, Diego really wasn't her type but he hadn't given up. He went as far as liking a whole bunch of old pictures. Curiosity got the best of Penelope and she decided to google him.
A whole bunch of articles showed up, she found out the basic stuff about him. Like his real name, Diego Leanos, and his age which was 21. He was Mexican just like her and she smiled a bit, he was cute. Penelope honestly believed that he was at least 16. He had a baby face even with all those tattoos on his face.
"Party is here!!" Monica yelled as she walked in with Grace trailing behind her. They both had bags of McDonalds in their hands and Penelope was quick to turn her screen to her phone off.
"Yes! McDonalds! I love you guys!" She said as the girls sat on her king sized bed. Grace got comfortable and took her vans off. Giving Monica a look, she cleared her throat.
"So..Lil Xan has been commenting on your post lately..." Grace started off as she watched Penelope who was opening the wrapper of her McChicken. "He was in Las Vegas....did something happen between you two?" She cut to the chase and just asked her friend.
Penelope's eyes widen and she shook her head. She couldn't believe her friends actually thought that she had hooked up with him. How many times did she have to say that he wasn't her type?
"No, no way. He found me on Instagram and he's been bugging me since. He played at my Dad's grand opening." She wasn't going to tell them about how she spent her last day in Vegas, curled up in her room with nothing to do.
The two girls stared at Penelope to try and see if maybe she was lying to them, satisfied with her answer they continued eating and talking. Penelope's phone started ringing and it confused her, she never really gets calls. The only two people who would ever call her, were sitting right in front of her. Picking up her phone, she saw that it was Brielle.
"Hello?" Penelope started out, she stood up from her bed. Letting her two friends continue talking. She had no idea what Brielle wanted and she didn't want to get distracted.
"Hey Pen! Sooo you know how Ethan is like really good friends with Diego? Or Lil Xan.." Brielle started off and Penelope couldn't help but notice the background noise, it was two people telling Brielle to get off the phone.
"So he totally has a crush on you and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with us tomorrow! I'm throwing a party" she said with a giggle at the end and Penelope couldn't help but bit her bottom lip as she thought about it.
"He's not my type Bri..you know this but of course I'll come to the party..for you though, not for him." Penelope responded with a small smile on her, it had been awhile since both of them hung out. It wouldn't hurt to go over for a little while.
"Fine by me! I'll talk to you later and see you tomorrow Pen! Love you!" Brielle said one last time and Penelope couldn't help but shake her head a bit. Brielle has hung up before she could even reply. Walking back into her bedroom, she noticed both Grace and Monica had stopped talking. They were both sitting on the bed, glued to their phones.
"We're going to a party tomorrow night." Penelope said as she sat down on her bed. The phone call kept replying in her head and Penelope couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Diego had a crush on her. It had to be some type of game because Penelope was quick to pick up on the fact that Diego had a type. She was definitely not his type.
"Oo a party! Whose?" Monica asked and grabbed another handful of fries. Grace lightly smacked her hand "Those were mine Mon!" Seriousness had taken over for a minute before the three girls bursted out in laughter.
"It's 4, we should get ready to go out for some drinks and dinner." Grace said as she looked at her nails. She wanted to spend as much time with her two best friends before she left to visit Australia for a couple of weeks.
"Yes! Dinner and drinks!" Monica said with so much excitement, you'd think it was her last meal.
