That night, I woke up inside my room.

"Angelica?!" [Blake]

I shouted her name and ran downstairs, there my parents were conversing with Steven and Michelle.

"Oh! Blake, you woke up."

They stopped their conversation when they saw me. My father Garret spoke first as he saw me by the stairs.

"Where is Angelica?" [Blake]

"She's in the other room resting dear."

My mother Aurea answered upon hearing my question.

"What happened to the knights?" [Blake]

"They've been taken care of." [Garret]

"And the village?" [Blake]

"Some houses were burnt down and there are a few who have died..." [Aurea]

"Was it you that rescued us?" [Blake]

"No, it was Angelica's parents who got to you first." [Garret]

Michelle gives a slight bow when I glanced at her.

"You were both unconscious, luckily it seems the knight you were fighting was already dead." [Michelle]

"After that, I carried both of you here." [Steven]

"I-I see... may I go to where Angelica is?" [Blake]

"You don't have to ask permission for that." [Steven]

"Thank you." [Blake]

I came up to her room and before entering, I took a deep breath.

I opened the door slowly, there she was sleeping on the bed. I took a chair by the mirror and placed it right next to her.

Looking closely, this is the first time that I saw her sleeping face. Her hair was untied but was combed, her face showing a serene expression while sleeping peacefully. She had been changed into a new set of clothes.

And her pinkish lips... before I knew it I was already drawn to her face.

Her hot breath hit my face, the rosy smell of her hair and her soft smooth skin. I touched her face... our lips were now a few millimeters apart. I stopped before I even manage to kiss her.

"What the hell am I doing..." [Blake]

I had nearly made a blunder, I left the room to clear my head.

The next day she still hasn't woken up... when I had gone outside there were some people helping rebuild the village, they weren't familiar faces. My father told me that some of them are friends, fellow adventurers? But others seem like knights to me.

Leaving it at that, I went back to where Angelica was sleeping. As I sat there, I fell asleep.

(Crash!)

I was snapped out of my sleep when I heard something crash, Angelica was there on the ground looking at me smiling wryly.

"Angelica?" [Blake]

"Good morning Blake..." [Angelica]

"Angelica!!" [Blake]

In my excitement got up my chair and then hugged her. I felt relieved I thought that she wouldn't wake up, she asked me about her parents and the villagers when I told her about the details. Being saddened, she kept her head low.

We talked about what had happened with the knight, Angelica was still somewhat confused on what had exactly happened, so I never delved any deeper than that.

When she said that it's fine for her to walk. I escorted her downstairs, we saw a girl talking to Michelle, but to me, she looks like a woman only a few years older than her.

Her aura, exuded that of a trusty friend and her conversation with Michelle seems to show respect. When Michelle and Steven finished talking to Angelica the girl came up to her and knelt.

Angelica was surprised that she even stuttered, the girl kept apologizing to her for not being early to protect our village. Likewise, Angelica said that it was alright.

The girl was starting to get a little sensitive so Michelle scolded her.

When the girl left, Angelica and her parents moved back to their house after it was repaired.
