The Ending

"I'm coming home, Mom. I can't tolerate him anymore." I said while gritting my teeth.

I told her I want to go home and she refused dahil gusto niya kong maging espiya niya kay Dad? Damn, I can't take it seeing him with other women.

"Where are you now, Castielle Angelo? Wala kana sa New York?" Mom asked nervously.

I got my cappuccino in a tray to find a table in the coffee shop. I'm already in the Philippines but I would never say it to her. Alam kong pagagalitan niya lang ako and she would cry and my conscience would fuck the hell out of me.

My parents really sucked. They have a fucking misunderstanding. Someone told Dad that Mom got another man here in the Philippines at para makaganti ay nambabae rin. I witnessed how my Dad drowns himself with alcohol and that's just sucks.

"I'll come home, Mom. Stop worrying..." sagot ko at binaba na ang linya.

Sorry, Mom. I just need to be alone and I want to clear my fucked up mind for a bit.

My eyes darted to a two-seat table. There's a girl reading a book with glasses on while sipping on her coffee.

I'm wearing my wayfarer and a hoodie. I'm in disguise because I know my family is already finding me and I don't want to risk my freedom for now.

I sat silently in front of the girl and from the smell of her coffee, she ordered cappuccino too.

She glanced at me through her glasses. I was confident of looking at her too because I'm wearing a wayfarer. She really got beautiful eyes. Little nose, cute lips.

What a nice view. I pull my wayfarer down a little to make her see that I'm watching her through my specs.

Bahagya siyang nagulat. Nag-iwas siya ng tingin at nagpatuloy sa pagbasa. I playfully smiled. Shy type, huh? Not my type but... ayos na ngayong araw.

Akala ko magtatanong siya kung bakit ako umupo but I guess wala siyang kasama. She's reading a Jenny Han book. Not my kind of author and her genre, 'cause I'm into mysteries and actions.

Good thing that I brought all my books from NYC. I checked in to a near Inn here in this coffee shop. I don't want to risk my ass checking in a hotel. Baka ma-trace ako nila Mom. Knowing her...

I was about to get my book in my bag when I caught her taking a glimpse of me. Hmmm. Girls... Papakipot muna bago kumagat.

I looked at her too but then she looked away. I smirked. This is why hindi ko type ang mga shy type, pakipot na nga ang mga babaeng extrovert, mas lalong pakipot ang mga introvert.

But because she's in front of me, ba't di ko patulan? I stared at her to make her conscious.

"Would you stop that?" iritadong aniya.

Ha! Ako pa talaga? Eh, ikaw nga 'tong kanina pang nakatingin. Tss... Girls...

"Stop what?" I asked playfully pushing my wayfarer up and leaned on the chair to look at her intently.
