Everyone was talking. Casey watched their mouths move but she heard nothing. Felt nothing. Her suspicions had been confirmed, they weren't alone. Octavia had been injured. The delinquent rebellion still raged, soon the ark would think earth unsurvivable. But none of that mattered.

Jasper was gone!!

"Where is he."

Casey voice had been low only the ones close to her being able to hear those words. And everyone flinched, Monty still not meeting her eyes as the others looked at her in sympathy.

"Jasper was hit. They took him."

Clarkes words had the brunettes heart shattering. Octavias hand resting on her shoulder in a effort for comfort as Casey gasped in dispare. She opened her mouth to respond but no words came out. The salty sea of her ocean eyes rolling freely down her cheek as she moved for the only person she wanted in that moment.

Montys arms clung to her desperately as Casey threw herself against him. His body shaking with his own silent sobs. Her shoulder growing damp under the tears, she didn't care. Her own tears staining his chest.

Clarke was giving a speach to the delinquents who had gathered. The ark was dying. It didn't even register. Bellamys counter argument was bigheaded and nieve, but he knew how to play a crowd to his favor. Everyone cheering him on and pretty much saying fuck you to everyone they've ever known.

It didn't matter.

Inside Casey was screaming. Demanding a answer from the so called god that would be cruel enough to take Jasper from their lives. Because Jasper was everything good.

Clarke and Finn had been sneaky about it when they cornered the three conspirators. Casey, Monty, and Wells had been busy at work packing what they could in the backpacks they had made earlier. The blonde at first simply acting like she wanted to patch up the team.

"I'm fine."

Casey's attempt at brushing off Clarke's advances was futile and she knew it. But the brunette didn't have the time to waist. Jasper was out there and every minute she was here. Was just longer he could be tortured, or killed.

"Your not leaving until I make sure your well enough for this."

That had the brunette stopping in her tracks, fire in her eyes as she turned on the blonde defiantly.

"Your not going to be able to stop me."

Unfazed Clarke met her gaze head on. With equal determination and no nonsense attitude. Dr. Griffin was in the building.

"Give me your arm, Casey."

With a roll of her ocean eyes she conceded. Knowing arguing right now would waist more time that a simple checkup. Clarke knowing her impatience worked quickly. The horrified look on her face when she actually saw the burn was evident even as she tried to hide it.

It was raw, red, and purple. Multiple heat blisters forming around the skin that hadn't been completely melted away. The muscle and tissue that had been exposed charred to a crisp. The silver cuff that was monitoring her vitals had sank deeper into her skin. The heat actually welding her flesh around its edges.

That wasn't necessarily bad either. The thing definitely wouldn't be coming off now. Probably ever.

After it was rewrapped and Clarke was finished with her 'medical tips' she moved on to Wells. Allowing the brunette to get back to what was important.

The contact between them seemed awkward. This being the first time Casey had even seen them talk to one another.

"Your making friends fast. Keep it covered. It could get infected. Nice pack."
