Suffocating.

There was no breath, no light. Only pain. And the panicked realization you couldn't breath. Instinct and adrenaline kicking in to save your life even as you knew it was fleeting.

Your throat burns. Lungs ache. Opening your mouth in a desperate attempt at life. Only for... nothing.

Only a over bearing weight on your chest.

Suffocating.

Casey woke with tears in her eyes, panting desperately for air. Horrified. Scared. Whatever nightmare that had come only leaving behind that terrifying realization she was going to die.

It hadn't been fear of it. But a inescapable certainty.

Her pulse raced. Hands trembling as the brunette focused on steadying her erratic breaths. Pushing the despair to the back of her mind where the dream lingered. Like a ghost, forgotten the moment she'd opened her eyes, yet present.

"Baby?"

Bellamy mumbled this sleepily, but with so much affection it had Casey's chest aching His arms around her growing tighter as the man was pulled slightly from slumber. The fact she didn't yet want to wake him giving the woman enough strength to fight the fear from her body.

Relaxing against his intoxicating heat seeping into her back, all around her. Allowing the smell of Bellamy Blake to be exactly what she needed to chase it all away.

"Go back to sleep."

"Mmmkay."

His breath was hot, and tickled, as the man had snuggled into the back of her hair with a content little sigh. Casey's heart doing a flip in her chest in reaction. Loving him so fiercely she suspected it was unhealthy.

And despite this strong and good emotion radiating in her chest. That inescapable certainty lingered in her gut. A knot that demanded she acknowledge it. The woman just knowing as she brushed the drying tears from her cheeks.

Something bad was going to happen today.

It was just something she knew. And you should always trust your instincts. It being the one true gift mother earth blessed all her children.

Only several minutes going by until Casey began removing herself carefully from bed.  Getting free of the large and surprisingly cuddly man with great effort that probably would of looked awkward had anyone witnessed it.

The woman knowing she needed to leave.Anxiety like a relentless whirlwind in her mind. She needed to do something. But hating to go. Wanting to stay there in their little sanctuary until he smiled at her so wonderfully in morning greeting. The time they stole within this tent becoming time for them.

But she needed to go. Check over things. Their patrols and honestly everyone important. That's how much this feeling had shaken her.

Bellamy's strong hand grabbed Casey's good wrist as she'd risen from the bed. The brunette turning with a blush at being caught. Moody heavy lidded eyes regarding her from his spot on the pillow. Those curls wild as they clinged to his brow.

"Were are you going."

This man was always demanding things of her. The brunette puffing out her freckled cheeks in irritation. There was a clear difference between asking her and demanding an answer.

Was it so hard to simply ask? She'd be more inclined to answer that way.

"I have to pee."

The lie came to her lips to easily. Casey's eyes breaking away as his had slipped closed. Bellamy taking in a deep breath as his long body stretched. Giving a placent nod. She didn't like lying. But she wouldn't worry him over nothing. Not until she found something to actually worry about.
