Bellamy was a possessive man. Protective. Controlling. A beast of habit. He knew this, accepted it. Those primal urges being the determination behind every move the man made.
He didn't hide it. His strength. His weakness. Not from her.
And Bellamy had thought Casey Kane understood. That small woman who seemed to see him. So well. Understanding and exasperating the older Blake more than anyone else in his life.
Her hand had slipped from his. Casey leaving Bellamy to watch her rush willingly into another mans arms. Monty clinging to the little vixen as desperately as Bell himself often did, and then whispered sweet nothing into her ear.
He hadn't heard what was said. Didn't need to. Casey's delighted laughter telling him everything. Her expression telling him everything he had needed to know. And if Bellamy had any doubts, or more Hope's it wasn't so.
She'd kissed him.
Monty hadn't rejected it either. No matter how brief. And the moment seemed to be a familiar one. Judging by their body language. Two life long companions in sensual embrace.
Bellamy believed Casey truly saw him, because he saw her. And as she rushed away excitedly as if there had been no betrayal. He saw more than he wanted. Realizing it was because she hadn't thought there was one.
The freckled woman not even sparing 'her lover' a passing glance. After ripping his heart from his chest.
And Bellamy couldn't accept that.
His body taking the man home on instinct. To their tent. Anger the only thing ruling his vicious mind. The 'Rebel King' had recieved a wide birth, the delinquents that looked to approuch backing off as he passed.
Bellamy was glad for it, ready to explode. His gaze avoiding and dismissing everything. Eyes narrowed ahead as he ran over the arguement to come in his mind.
He wanted to hit something! Scream! Anything to release this pent up aggression.
The man had thrown his tent door open with unnecessary force. Bellamy consumed by negative thoughts as he walked blindly in. Kicked irritable from his boots. And uncovered the small flame that provided light to his room.
That's when feminine giggles reached his ears. The sound foreign.
Bellamy's hand went to the axe at his belt on impulse as he turned quickly. Only to find two naked girls tucked in his bed. Their gazes hungry as the covers dropped.
There was a cereal sense of nostalgia. That first time Casey had revealed she craved him resurfacing from the mans memories.
And only pissing him off more.
"We've been waiting for you."
The younger one looked more hesitant than the other but ended up being more bold. Her hand skimming up her stomach slowly to cup a bare breast. Emphasizing her words and catching that golden gaze.
Bellamy couldn't help but laugh. It booming from his chest and sounding a bit to vicious. They didn't seem to mind, the cronies, one of them attempting a delicate gasp. He'd heard far better. And as his axe dropped to the floor and the man, shrugging, stepped forward. There was only one bitter thought on his mind.
Casey wasn't waiting for him. She probably wasn't even thinking about Bellamy at all.
She's always had Monty.
***
Casey had been frozen in place, hand dropping limply from the tents door. The noises that rose from within stealing her breath. And terrorizing her heart.
