"Clarke." Said blonde turned at the sound of her name. Casey approuching tensely with a tight frown and furrowed brow. A pack of delinquents at her back. "What are you doing out here?"

Her meaning passed clear between them, Jasper's cries of pain echoing through camp. Clarke needed to be there. Helping him.

Blue eyes clashed as Charlotte stiffened at their sudden arrival. The harshness to the brunettes words putting her on edge, making her shoulders tremble.

Casey noticed this, her gaze softening slightly as she took in the young girl, but only for a moment. Clarke's demeanor almost defiant as she raised her chin subtly. The medics hand moving protectively between the group and small girl.

It was rediculous. And infuriating. As if Casey would allow a innocent child to be harmed.

"I'm getting clean water. Charlotte was helping me."

The air between the two woman crackled with something never felt between them. Suspicion. Clarke hadn't seen Casey all day. None of them had. Not once had she been by to see Jasper.

The others where worried, but the blonde knew better. Something had kept her away.

"What's going on."

Clarke hadn't been asking, rather demanded answers. She had every right to, Casey sapposed. In normal circumstances she wouldn't be missing all morning or surrounded by Bellamys henchmen.

"Focus on Jasper. I've got this."

Now wasn't the time for answers. The brunette not willing to risk Clarke's focus. Plus there was none to be given, not yet, Pascal and Trina where still missing. The search party Casey had been leading all morning finding nothing.

"Casey. I ne-"

"Clarke. I've got this."  The brunette deliberately slide her eyes to Charlotte and back as she spoke. She didn't mean to seem hostile. Casey was just tense. "Trust me."

A paniced child could easily spread fear. This was not a talk to be having now.

Clarke quickly caught on to her silent intention. Which only caused her worry to grow. But Casey said she had this and of all them on Earth she was one of the few the blonde could truly trust.

"I do...... Just come see him once your finished."

Clarke didn't bother mentioning Jasper had cried in her absence. The one night Casey had been gone sense his return. Tears had spilled down his pale cheeks periodically. Octavia had been there, to provide comfort, but they could all tell it wasn't the same.

Even unconscious Jasper had known it wasn't her.

Shaking these thoughts from her mind the medic pushed away any feelings of suspicion or lingering frustration. Telling Casey these things wouldn't help anything. She must of had a reason to stay away. Have a reason she's parading around camp with a pack of goons at her back.

Clarke would trust in her. Always had.

A encouraging smile and wave farwell was all the blonde offered as she moved away. The small girl, Charlotte, staying behind to eye Casey inquisitively. Her hands nervously toying with the zipper of her oversized coat.

"Hey." Her unease was upsetting. Casey dropping to a crouch so she could be eye level with the child as she offered a kind smile. "Charlotte, right?"

Her answering nod was hesitant but Charlotte smiled gently in turn. Her gaze flickering uncertaintly between the woman and the lingering group of boys.

Charlotte was a painful reminder of how young Casey herself had been when locked away. Resentment growing for the council, for her own father, over the fact they would send such a young child to there death.
