The courtyard will be the perfect spot for the wedding. Dae went on and on of how he wants to be wed under an open sky and he shall have it. Her darling boy deserves everything fine in the world; the finest it has to offer. Though, his requests come with a price. She stands with her now, beside her. She is helping to oversee the preparations yet she has the least amount of care in this castle. Visaerya is trying, truly, to work with her but she just doesn't have the right attitude. To everything so far, Rhaena has said no. No? Well, she must just be in a bad mood. Either way, this wedding will happen and these decorations will be put up.
"...No." Rhaena says to the gold fabric a servant holds up to her. However, the servant looks to Visaerya, unsure. The lady nods and dismisses him. Her daughter has her arms held close to her body, rubbing her elbows with her hands. She looks very unhappy to be here. Visaerya rolls her eyes.
"Just what is your problem today?" She finally snaps at her. "I have been planning this event for weeks and I have yet to hear a thank you. You have done nothing but sit around and sulk in your room." She expects an apology but gets something different instead.
"I don't want any of this." Rhaena says, almost shouting. She brings her hands up to run her fingers through her hair and hold it back in a stressed manner. "I don't want to be married, I don't want to be here and I certainly do not want to marry that bastard!" Bastard. The very mention of her son being called that infuriates her. Visaerya goes to her swiftly, a look of contempt on her face. Sharply, she slaps her. Rhaena holds her cheek that now begins to turn red. Though, the girl looks just as fierce as she had before. "He is a bastard. And you. You, dear mother, are just as much of one as he is!"
Rhaena fighting back instead of cowering in fear alarms Visaerya. The two stare at each other with disgust and absolute hatred for a moment before Visaerya retorts. "And what are you, my girl?" She says, walking slowly forward, forcing Rhaena to back away at the same pace. "You are nothing. You will always be nothing. Your father was a fool. A naive, noble fool. Yet, you still believe he is some great man. You and Daemon alike." Rhaena trips after reaching a stony bench and falls into it. Visaerya continues, speaking to her like a dog. "You and your father are so much alike, it pains me to say. So devout for change in a world that will never change. So noble and honest. It was his weakness just like it is yours."
Visaerya turns on her heel, moving away from her daughter to the terrified servants still in their midst. "This wedding will happen whether you want it to or not." She turns back to her. Rhaena still sits on the bench, glaring at her mother with hateful eyes of Trysten's same color. "Your decision now is to help us, or not. I advise you shut your mouth and do as your told to save yourself some pain later on. Best have some say in what you want rather than leave it all up to me." She extends her arms, gesturing to the decorations already in place. She tilts her head and brings her hands back together as she waits for Rhaena to speak. "Your choices are clear. Daemon will have his bride, though I'm sure he would want her to be happy."
"Never." Rhaena stands, marching to Visaerya. "Daemon can rot in all seven hells for all I care about him. He was a better person before you stuck your claws in him. Now, the bastard is not my brother. Though, I think he's never really been my true brother has he?" She shouts, calling back to when Visaerya told her about his true parentage. She had told her in the heat of the moment at the time. Visaerya had said she was glad Trysten was not his father, stunning Rhaena greatly. She does not regret it. Yet, some part of her thinks that Rhaena may blab her secret just to spite her.
"Then leave." Visaerya tells her, quietly and threateningly. "Lock yourself in your room like you always do. We'll summon you when the time comes." Rhaena gives her one last glowering glance through narrow eyes before beginning to storm off. However, she stops.
She picks up a loose stone from the garden's path and throws it towards everything Visaerya had set up. The stone breaks a branch holding bits of colorful cloth before both heavy objects fall. They hit two tables made of crystal, shattering them both and sending bits of glass flying all over the ground. Before Visaerya can act swiftly to punish her daughter, she sees Rhaena exiting the courtyard, sprinting away towards her room no doubt. Visaerya, filled with rage and contempt, breathes deeply to avoid screaming and throwing things that may lead to more damage. Once somewhat calmed, she gently speaks to the servants. "Replace everything. Now." She hears them scurry away in fear. Daemon will hear of this. There will be no telling what he may do to her this time. Yet, the sickening thought brings a smile to Visaerya's face knowing that her daughter will be in pain very soon.
