Scarlett's POV

"I'll do the downstairs if you do the upstairs." I said looking at the huge staircase.

"That's how I was going to split up the house anyways." Kate said with a small smile.

I watched as she climbed the stairs before I used the crutches to walk to the first door. I pushed the door open and flipped on the lights. I walked in and stared at the ropes coiled in the corner and shuddered.

I heard a small whimper and turned to the right. "Hey are you all right?" I asked approaching the girl who looked about four years old.

"Don't hurt me." She said and I felt a pain in my chest as I approached her. Memories began to surface and I quickly suppressed them not wanting to remember Taylor.

"I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Scarlett. I'm going to get you out of here. Will you tell me your name?" I asked sitting on the floor next to her.

"Is he coming for me?" She asked looking up at me with her big brown eyes. I stared into her familiar eyes and I gasped. "What is it?" She asked looking at me scared again.

"Taylor?" I whispered reaching out and touching her hair.

"How do you know my name? I don't know you. I never see anybody. Not even my Mom. Cage told me that she was being punished and that I couldn't see her. Do you know my Mom?" Taylor asked searching my eyes.

"Taylor I am your mom. Four and a half years ago I had a baby girl. I named her Taylor. Then Cage took you from me. I cried for days. Then they told me that you were dead. Told me that they had slit your throat. Even showed me a very bloody knife." I whispered pulling her into a hug.

"So my Mom that thought I was dead came and saved my life. Thank you." Taylor whispered hugging me back.

"Come on Taylor. I have to search the other rooms. To make sure that there aren't any more innocent people locked up." I said using my crutch to stand. I reached for her hand and we walked together to the last room.

I let go of her hand and opened the door. The room was pitch black and other memories c a me and went. I reached out on the wall next to the door frame and found the light switch and flicking it on.

"Oh my god." I whispered staring at the body laying in the middle of the floor. "Taylor stay right here. Don't move okay?" I said and she nods quickly. I made my way the the body and keeled next to her.

I grabbed her shoulder and rolled her on her back as the woman's eyes flew open. She screamed as soon as she saw me. "Charlie! Shh. It's me Scarlett." I said as she flinched away from me.

She blinked up at me in shock. "Scar?" She asked sitting up and wincing in pain. "Can you tell me how bad this wound is? I can't see it." Charlie asked turning her back to me and raising her shirt.

I stared at the knife wound that was badly infected and wanted to gag. "Char it's pretty bad. You are going to have to go to the hospital. Do you have any family that you want me to contact?" I asked standing offering Charlie my hand.

She took it and stood. "Charlie are you okay?" Taylor asked from the doorway.

"Yeah sweetie I'm fine." Charlie answered with a smile but Taylor didn't look very convinced.

"Mom is Char Char going to be okay?" Taylor asked looking up at me with her big brown eyes.

"Yes she is sweetie. Now I want you to come with me to the truck. There we will wait on Kate." I said as we started toward the door.

"Scarlett!" Kate suddenly screamed running down the stairs with a baby in her arms.

"Josh!" Charlie screamed running toward Kate and taking the baby. "Josh it's okay mommy's here. Mommy's never going to let you out of her sight again." Charlie said holding the baby close.

"Kate we need to take Charlie here to the hospital. Hey Charlie this is my best friend Kate. Kate meet Charlie she's been with them about thirteen years." I explained as we all made our way to the four door truck.

"Taylor this is Auntie Kate. She's not really your Aunt but that's what you should call her. Kate this is my daughter Taylor." I say allowing Charlie in the truck first.

"I didn't know you had a daughter." Kate said as we climbed into the truck.

"I thought that she was dead." I whispered pulling Taylor onto my lap as we sped toward the hospital.

"Scar if I don't make it will you find a good home for Joshua?" Charlie asked from the back seat. "And could you contact my brother Liam? His last name is Payne. He worked at a hotel that my parents own." Charlie asked as we parked in the ER parking lot.

"Yes. On both counts. But Char you are going to be just fine." I said turning and giving her a smile. She smiled back just not very encouraging.

"Thank you." She said climbing out of the truck and walking into the hospital with Joshua in her arms

"Let's go." I said speaking to both Kate and Taylor as I climbed out of the truck and followed her in. "Taylor do you want to meet your Aunt Rachel? And your grandparents?" I asked as Charlie handed Joshua to Kate who looked very uncomfortable.

"Can I have something to eat first?" She asked as we walked towards the elevator.

"Sure what would you like?" I asked looking at the deli.

"Pizza!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Please." She added looking at the ground.

"Let's go. You don't have to say please to me. Okay?" I asked as we made our way to the deli. She looked up at me with a smile as I ordered a large pepperoni pizza.

Once the pizza was handed to me I looked down at Taylor. "Tay do you think that you could pack the pizza for me?" I asked and she nodded eagerly as I handed it to her.

We got in the elevator and went to Rachel's floor. We slowly walked to Rachel's room in silence. I paused outside the door and stared at my family sitting around Rachel.

"Mom she promised. She'll be back and she better have brought chocolate." Rachel spoke up looking at Mom.

"I brought pizza is that okay?" I asked from the doorway. All their heads turned to stare at me. I smiled at their shocked expressions.
