Scarlett's POV

"Taylor I would like you to meet my family. This is my Mom. And Dad and my sister Rachel. Mom, Dad, Rachel this is my daughter Taylor." I said as they stared at me blankly.

"So. Rachel is my Aunt and they are my grandparents?" Taylor asked setting the pizza box on the floor before sitting next to it. I sat next to her.

"That's right Tay. Now let's eat some pizza." I say opening the box. Taylor grabbed a piece and gobbled it up before I had taken two bites of mine. She stared down at the rest of it then looked up at me.

"Taylor you eat as much as you want. Anybody else want any?" I asked looking up at my family that was just staring down at me.

"No. We just ate." Rachel answered as Kate walked in carrying Josh.

"Scar. Charlie isn't doing very well. She had an allergic reaction to the medicine. The doctors are worried that she isn't going to make it." Kate said looking down at me.

"Is she awake? I'll go see her." I asked standing and starting to the door. Kate reaches out and grabbed my arm. "What is it?" I asked looking into her worried eyes.

"Are you okay? You look like you are about to pass out. You're pale as a ghost and that's making your bruises look ten times worse. I don't want to lose you not after I just got you back." Kate said blocking the doorway.

"Kate I'm fine. Plus you look just as bad as I do. Will you stay here with Taylor? Mom can help you watch her and Joshua. I'll be back in a bit. What room is Charlie in?" I asked pulling my arm away from her.

"Okay fine. But if you aren't back within the next hour I'm coming after you. She's in room twenty-three just down the hall." Kate replied stepping out of my way.

"No! Mom I'm coming with you! I don't want to be alone again." Taylor called running towards me. "Please don't leave me. I know that they are my family but I want to stay with you." Taylor begged looking up at me with her big brown eyes.

"Okay sweetie. You can get to know everyone later. Let's go see Aunt Charlie." I said as she grabbed hold of my pants leg. "I'll see you later Mom and Dad!" I called over my shoulder.

"Mom Aunt Charlie's been sick for about the past year. She gets tired quickly and she bleeds a lot. She also bruises very easily." Taylor said as we came to a stop outside of Charlie's room.

"Mom is Aunt Charlie going to be okay? She looks awful." Taylor asked as I pushed the door open and we both stared at Charlie.

She had a bunch of tubes and wires stuck into her. She was very pale and her eyes were closed like she was sleeping. "Charlie?" I whispered walking into the room.

Her eyes opened and she looked up at me. A small smile spread across her face. "Scar, how is Joshua?" Charlie asked and I noticed that the spark was now gone from her eyes.

"He's doing just fine. Kate's taking good care of him." I answered sitting in the chair next to the bed and leaning the crutch against the table. Taylor climbed into my lap.

"Who exactly is Kate?" Charlie asked looking at me confused. "Did you know her before or after?" She added smiling at Taylor.

"Before. Remember I told her about you. She was the one who got away. She spent the last fifteen years looking for me even a after my parents wrote me off as a runaway." I said remembering that night.

"Sounds like a good friend." Charlie said looking over at me. "Have you contacted my brother yet?" Charlie asked reminding me.

"No. Would you like me to bring him back so you can speak to him in person?" I asked looking down at Taylor who had fallen asleep in my arms.

"That would be great. Would you please bring him here?" Charlie asked looking at me hopefully.

"Sure. Rachel wanted to meet him anyways. Rachel's my sister by the way." I added seeing the question in her eyes.

"Oh. Can you go now? I would really love to see him again." Charlie said with a wistful smile.

"Will you keep an eye on Taylor. She doesn't trust my family yet." I explained picking her up and leaning over to lay her on the bed.

"I'll keep a close eye on her. I owe you my life." Charlie promised as I stood and walked to the door. As I walked out I turned back.

"Oh and you owe Liam your life not me." I said before turning and leaving. I made my way carefully to Kate's truck and looked through the passenger side. I sighed in relief when I saw that the keys were still in the ignition.

I made my way over to the drivers side and climbed in. I threw the crutch in the seat and started the truck. I pulled out of the parking lot and started driving down the two lane road.

A little while later I pulled into the hotel's parking lot. I climbed out holding onto the door until I got the crutch under my arm.

I breathed in deeply and blew it out. I made my way to the door and pushed it open. I walked to the desks and looked down at the young woman sitting there.

"Hi. Welcome to The Grand Hotel. How may I help you?" She asked pulling out the registry forms.

"Oh I don't need a room. Actually I'm looking for Liam Payne. Is he working today?" I asked as her eyes widened.

"That stupid ass! Is he cheating on me!?" The woman glared at me. "LIAM!!!" She screamed and Liam came out of the back room.

"Scarlett?" He asked looking surprised. But in a way he was confused.

"You ass!! We are over! If you want this ugly half legged girl I don't care! Don't you ever speak to me again!" The woman screamed before storming out of the hotel.

"You should probably go after her." I said as he stared after her.

"Nah. I was going to break up with her anyways. She's very over controlling. So what can I do for you?" Liam asked staring down at me.

"Actually I'm here about Charlie." I said in a low voice. I heard his gasp and I looked up meeting his eyes.

"Charlie? How do you know Charlie? Is she okay?" Liam asked not giving me the time to answer him.

"I'll explain on the way. Right now I need you to come with me." I said with a small smile. "Oh and you are going to have to drive. I'm to tired." I said pulling the keys out of my pocket and handing them to him.
