Kate's POV

"Run!" I screamed at Henry who was froze in place. "Run damn it!" I screamed coughing as I took a deep breath of smoke. I watched as the hallway burst into flames and Henry ran farther into the room.

"We are going to have to jump!" Isaac screamed over the flames and my coughing. "Henry you go first. That way you can catch Isabelle and Kate." Isaac screamed and Henry jumped.

"Isabelle go!" I screamed giving her a soft push toward the window. "Henry! Isabelle is coming!" I screamed and Isabelle jumped.

"Jump Kate!" Isaac screamed from behind me. I jumped and Henry wasn't paying attention. I screamed and landed on my left leg hard. Henry turned to see me and fell next to my side.

"Kate are you okay?" He asked as I turned back to the window ignoring his question. Isaac then jumped out of the window and was next to me quickly.

"Kat are you okay?" Isaac asked leaning down next to me. "Henry why didn't you catch her?" Isaac asked and I saw a figure in the trees.

"Journey! Stop this! Please! I know it's you!" I screamed jumping to my feet and running towards the woods ignoring my ankle.

The figure turned and I saw her face. "Journey please." I say quietly looking into her grief stricken eyes.

"Kate. I thought we were friends. Then you killed the only family I had left." Journey said and I could see the tears welling in her eyes.

"No Journey I didn't. Cage is dead. But Henry isn't." I said taking a step closer.

"No. Henry died a few years ago. In a car accident." Journey argued confused.

"Journey who told you that?" I asked grabbing hold of her arm. "Journey whoever told you that lied. Henry is alive. And you just about killed him." I said stepping away.

"What?" She asked looking behind me into the gloom. "What do you mean I almost killed him?" She asked worriedly looking back up at me.

"Come on. It's a long story. And I would rather you not be behind me right now." I say honestly motioning for her to walk in front of me. I followed and watched her closely.

"Kate!" Isaac called once Journey walked into the clearing. "What did you do to Kate!?" Isaac screamed running toward her.

"Isaac stop. I'm fine. Where's Isabelle?" I asked stepping into the clearing. I looked around and saw Henry holding Isabelle a little ways from the house.

Suddenly a scream pierced the air. "Isabelle!" Henry screamed loud enough that I could hear him. "Kate!!! Isaac!!! Help me!!!!" Henry screamed and I took off running towards him.

"What's going on? Oh. Pick her up. Take her to my truck or Isaac's car. We are taking her to the hospital. It looks like she's having a miscarriage." I said sadly as Journey approached in front of Isaac.

Henry pulled Isabelle into his arms and ran to my truck. "Isaac take Journey to the hospital with us." I said running to my truck. I sped out of the drive and toward the hospital.

"Isabelle please don't leave me. No don't close your eyes please." Henry begged next to me. "Wake up!!" Henry suddenly screamed causing me to jerk the wheel to the right. I fought to stay on the road.

"Henry calm down. We are almost there. Try to wake her up." I said pressing my foot harder to the gas pedal.

"Isabelle please wake up." Henry begged as I pulled into the the parking lot. I shut the truck down and hopped out. I heard the other door slam shut as I ran around to the other side. "Where do I take her!?" Henry shouted the question at me.

"Follow me!" I screamed running towards the ER. "Nurse there's a young woman coming in. She's having a miscarriage." I shout and suddenly there was a gurney being pushed past me. I turned and watched as they put Isabelle on it and Henry ran down the hall holding her hand.

"Kate?" I heard a voice ask from behind me. "Kathleen Brian! I never thought that I would see you here!" The voice exclaimed as I turned to see a tall handsome man standing behind me.

He looked somewhat familiar but I couldn't place where I had seen him before. "Well you don't remember me do you?" He asked pulling me into a tight hug. He smelled of Old Spice and I felt a sense of nostalgia. My older brother always wore that. He left for college twelve years ago and I hadn't seen him since.

"Oh my god!!" I exclaimed when the pieces pieced together. I pulled away from him and took a few steps back to look up at him. "Dylan!" I screamed throwing myself into his arms as Isaac walked through the doors.

"Good to see you too, Kate." He said hugging me close. Then he released me and I saw Isaac looking- no glaring- at Dylan. "How have you been?" Dylan asked not even noticing Isaac's glare.

"Much better. My depression is gone. I've moved on. I saved Scarlett with help from my new partner Isaac. Got me a boyfriend. Who is also Isaac. But that's enough about me. How have you been?" I asked looking between Isaac and Dylan.

"I'm good." Dylan answered mysteriously. I looked at his suddenly guarded expression confused.

"Well okay then. Dylan I would like you to meet Isaac. Isaac this is my older brother Dylan." I introduced them as Isaac walked up to me and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"Nice to meet you Isaac. Wait you said that you found Scarlett? Where is she?" Dylan asked so fast that I could barely understand him.

"Yeah. She went home with Liam. Liam was her friends brother. Charlie died though. Why?" I asked them I saw his eyes. His eyes always tell the truth. "Oh my god. Why didn't you ever tell me?" I asked leaning my weight into Isaac.

"Tell you what?" He asked and his eyes became guarded again.

"That you love her. You love Scarlett and now it is probably to late to tell her." I said as the pain in my ankle slowly grew worse.

"I don't know what you are talking about. Plus we haven't seen each other for twelve years. You don't know me." Dylan said looking away from me.

"Fine. I'll see you around Dylan." I said before pulling out of Isaac's embrace and walking away. I went to the front desk.

"Excuse me. Could you tell me where I can find something to wrap my ankle in? And some ice?" I asked the older lady.

"Sure. Go to Dr. Dylan Brian's office. He usually keeps wrap and ice packs in there." The lady said turning back to her computer. I stood there confused. "Oh I'm sorry. Just go down that hall. It's the fourth door in the left." She added once she noticed I was still there.

I smiled my thanks and walked to the office. I saw that both my brother and Isaac were gone. I knocked lightly on the door before pushing it open.

I saw my brother with his head laying on his desk and it sounded as if he were crying. "Dylan?" I said lightly and he raised his head wiping away the tears.

"Kate! I didn't expect to see you. Um do you need something?" Dylan asked uncomfortable.

"Yeah. I need some wrap and an ice pack." I said with a cough.

"Are you okay? That cough doesn't sound to good." Dylan said standing and walking towards his fridge as I say in his chair. I put my foot in the chair next to me. I leaned over and un-tied it. Then I slowly pried my shoe and sock off.

I stared at the yellow and purple bruise that had formed on my hugely swollen ankle in disgust.

"Holy crap! What the hell happened to you?" Dylan exclaimed as he turned around dropping the ice pack.

"I jumped out of a burning building." I answered earning a very shocked look. I smiled ruefully.
