Kate's POV

I woke up to Isaac's snoring. He looked so cute with his slightly messed up hair and sleeping soundly. "You know I can tell you are staring at me." He said startling me.

My eyes widened as his opened to meet mine.  "How are you feeling this morning?" Isaac asked and now that I think of it I'm nowhere near as sore as I had been. And my headache was gone.

"I'm good. My ankle hurts but I think that is to be expected. I don't think I will be jumping out of any burning buildings any time soon." I said jokingly.

"I could still beat the shit out of Henry for not catching you. But he's going through enough right now." Isaac said shaking his head slightly as he pulled me closer into his chest.

"Yeah. I wish Isabelle hadn't lost the baby. She was looking forward to being a mother and she would make a good one to. You saw how well she was with Joshua last night." I said with a sad smile.

He nodded solemnly before looking over my shoulder. "We must have been tired. It's literally four in the afternoon." Isaac said and I rolled over to see that he was right.

"Shit. I didn't call into work today. I probably lost my job. Captain told me once more and I might as well not show back up." I said with a sigh.

"Hey even if you lose your job you got what you wanted accomplished. You saved Scarlett's life. And her daughter's. Plus countless others that could have been victims." Isaac said making me feel better.

"Isaac?" I started to ask the question that was burning in my head but my phone rang and I reached over and answered it. "Hello?" I answered with a sigh.

"Kat. It's Scarlett. I think there's somebody outside the house. And Dylan is in the shower and I don't know what to do!" Scarlett exclaimed in my ear.

"Scar. I'll be there as soon as I can. Why us Dylan in the shower this late anyways?" I asked and I felt Isaac's glare fixed on the back of my head.

"Joshua puked on him." Scarlett answered and I laughed as I climbed out of the bed. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt as I headed into the bathroom.

"Scar do you think you could go and get him out of the shower?" I asked closing the bathroom door.

"What!? You want me to go into the bathroom while he is in the shower!?" Scarlett exclaimed shocked.

"No. I meant like bang on the door. And if you are that worried you go in." I said stripping out of my pj pants and pulling on the black jeans.

I heard a crash in the background. "Oh my god! They are in the house!" Scar exclaimed scared.

"Scar clam down. Get Tay and Josh into the closet. Tell them to not come out or make any noise. Once that's done go get Dylan." I demanded as I left the bathroom and grabbed my keys off the table.

I ran out of the room and to my car. "Scar I'm in my car. I'm coming." I said trying to calm her hysteria. "Give the phone to Dylan." I said and I heard a door squeak open and the shower running. "Go in and close and lock the door." I said and I heard the door close as her breathing worsened.

"Scarlett?" I heard Dylan's voice in the background and I sighed in relief. "What rare you doing in here? Are you okay?" I heard him ask. "Hello?" Dylan asked into the phone.

"Dylan. It's me. Scar said there's somebody in the house. Isaac and I are on our way. Please calm her down. And don't let him find her." I begged as Isaac followed me towards my truck.

Isaac took the keys and got in the drivers side. "Kat what is going on?" Dylan asked quietly.

"I think Andrew has found her. Scar called panicking she didn't want to get you out of the shower. I told her to hide Josh and Tay in the closet. I need you to go check on them." I said as I pointed the direction Isaac needed to go.

"Scar. Calm down. I'm going to go check on the kids. Stay here and don't panic. Here I'm going to leave the phone here with you." I heard Dylan say.

"No! You can't leave me!" Scarlett screamed panicked.

"Isaac here!" I exclaimed and he made a sharp right turn into Dylan's drive. I unbuckled and ran towards the door. I saw the shattered window and went in.

"Kat?" Dylan asked once I crawled through the window.

"Is she okay?" I asked as he pulled me into a quick hug. He nodded and pointed down the hall. I ran down the hall and pushed open the first door I came to. I saw the empty bathroom and started to worry.

"Scar? Are you in here?" I asked stepping into the room. The shower curtain rustled before she looked around the edge with a look of relief on her face.

"Kat." She said but then her eyes widened at something behind me.

I felt the cold barrel of the gun press to the side of my forehead before I could do anything. "Looks like I'm going to be able to accomplish what I set out to do. Kill you both." Andrew's hoarse whisper sounded in my ear.

"You again seriously?" I asked with a smirk. I saw the look of panic on Scarlett's face but then it was gone.

"Yeah it's me again. So do you have any last words?" Andrew asked as I watched Scarlett confused.

"You kill me. And you will regret it." I said as I heard the click of the gun and Scarlett looked worried again. "I'm sorry Scar!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and then I heard running footsteps in the hall.

"You stupid bitch!" Andrew exclaimed pushing me forward and pulling the trigger. There was another blast and I looked to see Isaac standing there still holding the gun. I smiled moving to stand only to collapse in a heap on the floor.

I felt my smile drop as the burning sensation began to spread. "Is he dead?" I asked Isaac as he keeled next to me.

"Yes. It's all over Kat. You did it." Isaac said as Dylan approached.

"Kat. I called an ambulance. Do I need to call mom and dad?" He asked as my vision started to blur.

"Don't worry them. I'm fine." I said and allowed myself to fall into the darkness.
