Scarlett's POV

"We can go see her in the morning after we all get some rest." Kate said with a small smile. I gave one back but I probably looked like I was about to cry.

"You guys go on. I'm going to stay here." Dylan said looking down at Kate. She nodded and grabbed her moms arm pulling her to the door.

"Hey Scarlett. I'm..." Dylan started before I raised my hand cutting him off.

"I remember you Dylan." I said and I heard Mrs. Payne gasp. "Dylan I would like you to meet Mrs. Payne. She was Liam's mother." I said looking between them.

"Scar. We sort of already met. I was with you guys when we came to the hospital. I was originally driving." Dylan said and I couldn't remember that but I shrugged slightly.

"Scar. Who is this man to you?" Mrs. Payne asked and I looked over at her shocked.

"Mrs. Payne. This is my best friends older brother." I said and added in my head, 'and my first crush for whom I might still having feelings for.'

"Yeah. Actually I have a picture of us all together." Dylan said pulling his wallet out of his pocket. I stared at him openly as he flipped through it. "Ah. Here it is." Dylan exclaimed handing over a picture.

Mrs. Payne looked at it and huffed before handing the picture to me. I looked down at it and felt the tears well in my eyes. I remembered the exact day this photo was taken. The day before I was taken.

[Flashback]
"Scar, come on. It's just to lake. If you want I can call your mom." Kate begged through the phone. I mentally sighed. "And Dylan's going to come to." Kate added.

"Fine. But just for a few hours. We have school tomorrow." I said caving as I knew I would.

"Great. Get dressed we are outside." Kate exclaimed hanging up. I rolled out of bed and walked to my closet. I pulled out my plain black bikini and put it on.

Then my phone rang. "Hello?" I asked not checking the caller ID.

"Your family will pay." the male voice said hanging up. I frowned down at the phone then shrugged. I grabbed my black pullover shirt and started toward the door.
[End Flashback]

"Scarlett?" Dylan asked and I looked up to see that Mrs. Payne had left. "Hey are you okay?" Dylan asked stepping towards me. I nodded not trusting myself to speak.

"Mommy. Can we go home now?" Taylor asked and as I turned to face her I felt a wave of dizziness. I swayed and an arm wrapped around my waist.

"Scar? I think you need to sit down." Dylan said his voice next to my ear. I nodded as he lead me to the chair. I sat and put my head in my hands.

"Mommy are you okay?" Taylor asked as Joshua started to cry. I heard a slight murmuring and I looked up. Isabelle was rocking him to sleep.

"Yeah. I'm fine honey. Just extremely tired. Dylan do you know if there are any empty rooms here?" I asked looking next to me. I saw his frown but it was gone before I could think any thing of it.

"Sorry. We don't want right now. But my house has extra rooms if you would like to stay with me." Dylan suggested surprising me.

"I don't want to impose." I edged looking over his shoulder to see Isaac glaring at him. "Okay I got to ask. Why is it that every time you two are around each other you are glaring at one another?" I asked and Dylan turned to face Isaac with a glare on his face.

"Um. I don't know?" Dylan said but it sounded more like question than an answer. I rolled my eyes, he sounded just like he did fifteen years ago when I asked him if he liked me.

"So are you going to answer my question or change the subject again?" Dylan asked as I turned to face my daughter.

"I'm not the one that always changed the subject when we needed to talk about important things." I said not turning to face him.

"I guess I deserved that. But do you need a place to stay?" Dylan asked and I could feel his stare on my back. "You wouldn't be imposing." He added and I nodded.

"Sure. Why not?" I said standing and taking Joshua from Isabelle. I smiled a thanks when I realized that he was sound asleep. "Come on Tay. Uncle Dylan is going to let us stay with him tonight." I say reaching a hand out to her.

She took it as Dylan lead us out the door. "Scar we need to talk." Dylan whispered as he paused next to me.

"To think that used to be my line." I said climbing into his Chevy Silverado. I heard his sigh as he closed the door behind me.

"Come on Tay buckle up." I said ignoring Dylan as he climbed in and started the truck. Tay buckled up and leaned into the seat closing her eyes. A second later she was snoring softly.

"Dylan thanks for letting us stay with you." I spoke up breaking the awkward silence.

"Scar I would do anything for you." Dylan responded meeting my eye in the mirror. I looked down at the floor and squeezed my eyes shut.

"Dylan. The day before I was taken, while you and Kate were waiting on me I got a phone call. I wrote it off as a prank call but now that I remember it the voice wasn't even one of the ones that took me." I said eyes still closed.

"Then who was it?" Dylan asked as I looked up trying to hold back the tears.

"Dylan the voice was very familiar. But I can't place it right now. I'm almost positive that it was someone that I trusted. I know it wasn't Andrew." I added knowing that Dylan wouldn't continue the subject.

"What happened with Andrew? He tried to kill you and my sister. Not to mention the fact that he is still out there somewhere." Dylan asked continuing the subject anyways.

"That's a long story and I'm not up to it tonight. Can we talk about this tomorrow?" I asked with a sigh.

"Okay. But we will talk okay. About more than just Andrew." Dylan said giving me a small smile as I looked up at him.
