Kate's POV
"Kate. Get up." Scarlett shouted in my ear causing me to jump up startled.
"Damn Scar. What the fuck? You didn't have to fucking scream at me." I complained throwing my legs over the side of the bed before standing in front of her.
"Oh quit bitching. Let's get you ready for your wedding in literally two hours. I'm glad you took a shower last night." Scarlett said dragging me into her room and making me sit in the chair.
"I'm going to do your makeup first. Then you are going to get dressed and the. I'm going to do your hair." Scarlett said not looking at me.
"Scarlett don't go all out. I want simple. Nothing more nothing less." I said as a warning out of the corner of my eye I saw her nod reluctantly. "Thank you. For everything." I blurted suddenly.
"You don't have to thank me. What are best friends and hopefully soon to be sister in laws for?" Scarlett asked and I had to hold my smile back as I remembered the phone call I got in the middle of the night last night.
"Well I'm thanking you anyways. Now make me pretty." I said closing my eyes and falling asleep on accident.
"Kat!" Scarlett exclaimed causing me to lurch awake.
"I'm awake. I just dozed off." I said looking up at her. She just shook her head and pointed to the dress before she walked out of the room. I quickly stripped down to my white strapless bra and blue underwear.
I changed into my simple but elegant strapless wedding gown. "Don't look at any mirrors! I want you to be prefect before you do!" Scarlett screamed through the door startling me.
"You can come in. I need help zipping it up." I called through the door. She opened the door and quietly zipped up the dress before getting her straightening iron.
"Please don't fall asleep again. Because I really don't want to have to rush you to the hospital for stitches." Scarlett said as she straightened my hair. Ten minutes later she pulled away and looked at me.
"How do I look?" I ask almost afraid of the answer. But instead of answering she walked to her closet and opened the door to reveal a full length mirror. "Oh my god." I whispered my hand moving to cover my mouth as I stared at the woman in the mirror.
I couldn't believe my eyes. I had never looked so good. "Scar you are a miracle worker." I gasped as there was a knock on the door.
"Katie. Scar. It's time to head to the church." Dad called through the door. "That is if you expect to get there before the groom so no one sees you." Dad added and I walked towards the door.
"Let Scar get dressed. Then we will be ready. " I said turning to see Scarlett had disappeared. I looked back at dad to see him staring at me wide eyed. "Scar is a miracle worker isn't she?" I asked and he nodded as he took my arm leading me down to the car.
A few minutes later Scarlett ran out in heels tall enough to hurt just by looking at them. "Your feet are going to be killing you." I said as we started towards the church.
Dad rushed us inside and we settled into one of the daycare rooms. "I can't believe that it's almost time." I said looking around at Scarlett.
"Me neither." Scarlett said at a loss for words. "I'm honored to be you maid of honor. And Rachel is glad to be a brides maid." Scarlett added as the door opened and Rachel came in. "Did you bring it?" Scar asked and Rachel nodded as my mother walked in behind her.
"We brought everything for the thing." Mom said with a smile before locking the door. "You are wearing something blue right?" She asked and I nodded. "I have the something old and borrowed." Mom said pulling out a strand of pearls that I immediately recognized.
She placed them around my neck and smiled at me. "We brought the something new." Rachel spoke up opening a box to show a beautiful bracelet.
"You guys really didn't have to do this." I said as Isabelle walked in. "But thank you guys so much." I said trying to hold back my tears.
"Sweetie. It's time." Dad said walking into the room and I stood to meet him gaining gasps from everyone.
"No one tell. Now just continue as planned." I said and they all nodded before walking out of the room. Dad handed me the bouquet of purple roses. "I'm ready daddy." I said answering his unasked question.
"Let's go. That's our cue." Dad said looping my arm through his and holding tightly to my hand. We walked slowly towards the double doors. We could hear the whispers through the door. Then without pausing dad pushed open the doors and we stepped in.
I slowly looked up and met Isaac's shocked eyes and smiled all my nerves disappearing. As we approached I could feel all the shocked stares but I payed attention to the only person that mattered at this point and time.
My dad slowly passed my hand to Isaac and Isaac pulled me into his side. "We are here to join these two lovely people in holly matrimony. Do you guys have your own vows?" The priest asked and we both nodded surprising each other.
"Isaac Duncan you may go ahead." The priest said and Isaac pulled out a slip of paper then folded it and put it back in his pocket.
"Kate. I wrote this all down and it was perfect but I realized I don't need perfect I need you. I may not do everything the way it should be done. We may not always agree on the same things. But Kate one thing I'm absolutely sure do is that you and I were meant to be together forever and always. Through good times and bad. I promise you Kate Brian no matter what happens I will be by your side. I love you." Isaac said taking the ring from Scarlett and sliding it on my finger before brushing my tears away using his thumb.
"Isaac Duncan. I never believed in fate or anything like that. Not until I met you. From the very beginning you stood by my side. From the point I first mentioned needing help finding my best friend to the point where I was paralyzed due to my own stupidity. But you was there to pick me up and place me back on my feet. I love you so much. And I will always be there to catch you when you fall as I know you will be there for me." I said choking at the end as I took the ring from Dylan who was to my surprise the best man.
"By the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife." The priest said as Isaac closed his lips over mine. "May I present for the first time Mr. And Mrs. Isaac Duncan." The priest added as we pulled away.
There was many congrats and hugs. But then it was time. Dylan met my eye and I nodded as he took the microphone from the priest.
"May I have everyone's attention please?" Dylan asked and everyone turned to look at him. "First I would like to thank everyone for coming. But the main thing is I wanted to ask my girlfriend something very important." Dylan said and I turned to see Scarlett standing shocked with a hand covering her mouth.
Charlotte slowly approached her with the black velvet box. But Scarlett only had eyes for Dylan. "Scarlett Hale. You have been through so much alone. But now you have me and as long as I'm here I will make sure you never suffer alone. Scarlett I have loved you for as long as I can remember. Will you do me a huge favor by becoming my wife?" Dylan asked stepping forward as Charlotte went on one knee in front of her.
Scarlett's eyes widened and filled with tears as she look down. She looked up at Dylan in utter shock before nodding and allowing him to place the ring on her finger. He pulled her into a hug and kiss as we all applauded. Everyone went back to their business as I made my way to them.
I saw the moment she pulled away from Dylan and stared at Charlotte. "Char?" She whispered and Charlotte nodded before Scarlett threw her arms around her. I smiled and turned to face Isaac who was also smiling.
"You are the best friend any one could ever ask for." Isaac whispered in my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.
