Chapter 10 - Home Sweet Home

I grabbed Eren and headed off in the direction of our new home. "It's going to take us a long time to get home. It will take you a lot longer so don't stop unless you have to." I said to Civia.

"I told you, I can take care of myself."

"I sure hope so."

I flew for a whole day without tiring, then finally caught sight of the cliffs I had had in mind. Half an hour later I landed on the cliffs in front of a dark cave. I set Eren down softly and started to walk into the cave.

"Great our new home. I guess I should be happy that I atleast get to live here and am not forced to live somewhere else."

"I never forced you to live somewhere else. I just made so that you couldn't live with your family."

"That is the worst thing you could have possibly done. I loved them more than anything, and you took them away from me."

"I never took anything away from you. You are the one that chose to give them up."

"How? I didn't choose to live somewhere else, I was forced to not live with them."

"You gave them up the moment you started looking for me. You wouldn't even talk to Civia when you were able to see her." That comment cut right into Eren's heart.

"Stop it." Civia yelled at me, it was surprising that she could hear the conversation even though we were so far apart.. "You know just what will break his heart. I've already forgiven him. Haven't you found anything out about him from your mind search?"

"Yes. I will tell you when you get here. I don't trust this man. I don't think you should either."

"You don't think I should trust my own father?"

"I know that you shouldn't trust your father. I'll share with you what I found out when you get here. You can decide for yourself if you still want to trust him."

"I hope you really found something. I don't like you telling me I shouldn't trust my father." 

"Of course I really found something. I wouldn't tell you you shouldn't trust someone if there wasn't a really good reason."

"I'm done talking about this. I'll be home in a few weeks. Maybe sooner. I'm going to walk faster than I was. I don't like leaving you with my father, especially when you obviously don't like him."

"It's not that I don't like him. I just don't trust him."

"Well I do."

"We'll see about that when you get here."

"Ugh. I'm done talking to you."

I sighed and said, "Goodbye. I hope you get here soon."

Civia didn't reply.

"Why do I always anger her?" I asked aloud.

"How did you anger her when she isn't even here?" Eren asked me.

"When Civia gets here you can ask her to tell you everything."

"Why are you so secretive? Ever since I met you you didn't want anything to be found out. You wouldn't tell me anything. Do you have something against me?"

"Everything will be brought out when Civia gets here." I got up and walked to the back of the cave and laid down.

The days past by without anything happening. We would rarely talk, but I always kept an eye on Eren. Every once in a while Eren would leave to go hunting and I would follow him saying I was going to go hunting for myself.
