"What a shame." I whispered calmly, lifting the man's head off of my shoulder. Now I was absolutely sure who the man on the shoulder was. I wasn't wrong the first time and I was surprised I even hesitated. "You came here, running along when you left me for dead." I focused my eyes, taking Taehyung's head between my palms. "You thought I died, didn't you?" I asked when there was no response.

"What?" He asked, his voice shaking. I barely heard him, but I felt the fear in his voice. Then it clicked in his mind. "Kookie?" He asked, a bit more reaffirmed and confident. He wiped away his tears and took a step backwards. "No, you're just his shadow."

"You're calling me a shadow now? I guess you're kind of right. I don't belong in this universe, I'm just a shadow of this universe's Jungkook." I said with a sinister smirk. "Guess what? I'm not the only one that came here with you, you brought another. You know how bad that can mess with the timeline. Both of us saw how that ended last time."

When Taehyung stood there, unable to cough up a syllable, I took a step forward. I could feel his breath on my skin, his eyes scanned my face, unwanting to leave a single detail out. When I clapped, his eyes closed but he didn't flinch.
