45 : The 'Couple' of Talks

Siya's Pov

The best time of the day so far, I looked ahead of me to see Kanishk choosing a dish for himself after I had given out my order. He looked up at me for a second, and that was enough for my cheeks to go red at the thought of what he said in my cabin.

He wanted to stay in the cabin and continue what he had planned, but I was hungry and I didn't want to make out in my office with my husband with all the people roaming around, it just didn't feel right, so here we were, after lots of requesting and promising to continue whatever he wanted to do at the later time, at a restaurant to have lunch.

"Kya soch rahi ho?" Kanishk's voice broke my wire of thoughts and I immediately shake my head and look down, trying to erase the blush on my face. (What are you thinking?)

"So? How are you free at this time of the day? No work?" I ask him, wondering how my workaholic husband is now free.

"Lots of work, but didn't feel like doing it," he says and gives me a glare, "Tumhari wajah se he ho raha hai ye sab," he blames me and I raise my eyebrows. (It's all because of you)

"Excuse me? What did I do?" I ask astonished.

"What did you do? You really don't have any idea, do you?" he asks amused and I wondered what he was talking about. "Anyway, who the hell is Amit?" he asks.

"I don't know?" I say and he looks as if he is deep in thoughts.

"He was at your reception this afternoon, was behaving and talking rudely, so I threw him out," he says and my eyes widen.

"You threw someone out of my office?" I ask shocked.

"Not me, I asked someone else to do it," he says as if the answer changes the meaning.

"It's the same thing," I tell and he shakes his head.

"It's actually not, you see I asked the guards to-"

"Okay, okay I get it," I say before he can bore me with some English tutorial lecture explaining about the sentences and their meanings. "I don't know any Amit, we got to see who it was, I'll ask Viahaan to find out," I say and he looks up immediately.

"Viahaan, how the hell did he know what happened in my conference hall today?" he asks and I look at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked as our orders came and we started eating.

"I mean he knew what-" before he could complete his sentence an over-enthusiastic woman came out of nowhere and back hugged him as I watched them shocked.

What the hell?

Kanishk looked more horrified at the intrusion as he immediately removed the hands and looked behind, "What the hell do you think you're doing Aisha?" he asked and I looked at the woman confused.

Aisha? His company's ex-PR? The one who falsely tried to steal my project? I watched as she rolled her eyes and smiled brightly at my husband and I grit my teeth.

"Come on Kanishk, we're meeting after so long, didn't you miss me? We had so many memories together," she says as I see Kanishk balling his fist as if restraining himself from hitting her, I immediately clutched his hands in mine and pulled him back before he did anything he might regret later, not that I didn't want to punch her in her face for hugging my husband.

"Don't even say my name, because last time I only removed you from my office, don't think I can't make you pay more cruelly," he warns and she rolls her eyes.

"Well, you did a fantastic job last time after you removed me from your office, no one was willing to hire me but guess what?" she says and looks at me with a smirk. "You know Dev and Riya, right? Well, they've hired me and you know what?" she says and points her finger at us, "We will destroy you, starting with you Kanishk, as an ex-employee I know every ins and outs of your company," she says and I chuckled.
