48 : The Unwanted Encounter

Siya's Pov

"Vihaan, where are those flower decorations?" I yelled over at my assistant from the side, where he was busy arranging the rest of the arrangements for our inauguration.

"We canceled the flower decorations, Siya, you said they would look too loud," Vihaan says as he walks towards me with a frown on his face.

"Oh, right, I did say that," I say, watching the entrance and sighing. This is how I have been since yesterday, unfocused since Kanishk left for LA.

I tried to concentrate but couldn't, I sit down to rest, I miss him, I have my lunch and I miss him, I try to occupy myself in work, again, I start missing him.

"Are you okay?" Vihaan asks and I look at him watching me with a worried face.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," I say nodding my head and checking my phone for the infinite time that day to see if I have any call from Kanishk. Since he left yesterday, we haven't talked, due to his meeting schedule and my preparation for tomorrow we have missed each other's call, either he was busy when I would call or it was me who was busy when he called.

"Okay, how about we go and have lunch? You definitely don't look okay to me right now, and to say you were happy as a Tinkerbelle yesterday when you came to office," he says and I smile with a blush on my face, which I immediately tried to hide by looking away.

"See? And now you're blushing," he says and looks at me with a teasing glint on his face and I give him a glare.

"I'm not blushing!" I say, rubbing my cheeks and see him raise his brows as if asking me 'Really?'.

"Sure, sure, why don't we go have lunch and you tell me what happened yesterday?" he asks and I shake my head.

"Nothing happened, and we cannot go to lunch Vihaan, just order in, we have so much to do!" I say, suddenly getting worried about the program tomorrow.

"First of all, relax, everything is done, just look," he says and points at the far away side where the preparation for our inauguration is still on. There were people clearing the ground, there were people decorating the certain area where we would be welcoming our guests in, I looked a little away to see some people arranging the stage area and the chairs for the guests were already arranged, I turned a little left and see the main entrance gate already up, we only installed a gate and would start with the construction right after our inauguration is complete.

"You're right, I should relax," I say as I watch people already working for tomorrow and look at Vihaan and smile, "It's my treat, come on," I say and he grins as we walk towards my car.

I looked down once at my phone to see Kanishk still hasn't seen my message, I had asked him to call me when he gets free, but looks like he was still busy, I sigh and get in the car and slam the door shut.

After a short drive, we walked out to our usual restaurant, and my phone beeped and I looked down excitedly, expecting it to be Kanishk, but, it was Ananya. I ask Vihaan to go take a seat and order our usual food until I talk to Ananya.

"Hey," I pick up and hear her shuffling around.

"Don't hey me, tell me, did you wear the dress I gave you?" she asks and I blushed again remembering the lingerie she gave me.

"No," I replied and as expected heard a long 'why' from her. "In my defense, I'm on my periods and second, the person I should be wearing it for is in LA," I tell her.

"Oh right, Rishi was telling me about that," I hear her, "Don't worry, plenty of opportunities ahead," she says excitedly and I laugh at that.

"You're coming tomorrow, right?" I ask.
